Muscle & Fitness Hers mag--anyone get this?

I just received a post card in the mail saying the magazine will no longer be available by subscription. But they will have newsstand specials. The subscription will be transferred to Muscle & Fitness. Does anyone get Muscle & Fitness? Do you like it?

I didn't get this card. But I am running out my M&S Hers subs. I no longer want to read the same repetitive crap month after month, and all recycled from two years ago!

Hmmm, I just subcribed to M&F Hers and received my first issue. I'm surprised to hear that they will no longer be offering the magazine via subscription. I have not received any notification.

I just got my card in the mail today. It has a phone number to call about the subscription, maybe I will see what they have to say.

Alexandra,

I called and Spring 2005 is the last issue of Muscle and Fitness Hers and then your subscription goes to the regular Muscle and Fitness magazine. If you don't want the regular Muscle and Fitness magazine you can get some of your money back I guess they are talking about still putting out 'special' issues of Hers. I can give you the number if you want it so you can call.

I don't get Muscle and Fitness but I did check out the magazine before Muscle and Fitness Hers came out. At that time it was more of a Man's magazine. Not to many articles geared to women, that was a while ago. Maybe there going to make it more useful to women?

Sabrina,

Thanks so much for the info. If it's not too much trouble, please post the phone number.

Thanks again.

Alexandra

That's what I was thinking. My ex used to get it years ago and I used to thumb through it when I was bored. It was ok but definitely geared for men. They will have to make a lot of changes to make it more for women.

I went to the M&F Hers Forum and one of the members their said that supposedly Muscle and Fitness will cater more to women than previous issues.

I'm glad I heard about this change. I was going to subscribe with the Spring issue. I've been buying the magazine off the newsstand ever since it started. The reason I did not subscribe sooner was because DH had a subscription to M&F and they would call constantly asking for him to renew his subscription for a longer period of time, like 2-4 years. I didn't want to deal with the calls, but now I guess I won't have to. Hopefully M&F will really cater to our needs and not just one or two articles.

I also found out that my subscription will start back up with the July issue of Muscle and Fitness. I don't know if that means there wont be much for Women in there until then or not. I hope there will be a lot for Women then.

Thanks for the number.

I called and did confirm that my subscription would be transferred to Muscle Fitness. I asked the representative if the Muscle Fitness mag would change to include more women oriented training, but she didn't know. The last issue of M&F Hers will be the spring issue which is in the process of being mailed.

I'm bummed 'cause I thought M&F Hers was a decent magazine. In my opinion, the only other magazine worth subscribing to is Oxygen. They tend to have good training articles, but they sure seem to push (in the way of advertisements) a bunch of supplements.

I think maybe M&F hers lost a lot of readers when they changed formats a while back, and didn't get them all back when they went back to being more of what they were in the first place.

Muscle and Fitness is o.k., sometimes a bit too "testosteroney" for my tastes. And the adds often have babes in bikinis with big silicone implants.

It's certainly a lot THICKER than M&F Hers has gotten to be lately.
