muscle fatigue

Hi Cathe, Today I'm experiencing muscle fatigue. Not so much DOMS, but just feel so tired from my last couple of w/o's.
I was wondering what you recommend for muscle recovery. Are there certain supplements or foods to alleviate this feeling?

Hi Susan! Sometimes our bodies just need a little extra rest from pushing extra hard. Good sound sleep at night, a day or two off, good healthy meals with quality protein, a multi vitamin, and extra water should do the trick. Also, make sure that you have enough complex carbs in your diet so that you have enough fuel for your workouts. Lately I see too many people on these low carb diets who are fading in the middle of their workouts. Just some "food" for thought! Take Care!
 
I love this advice, especially about making sure people get enough complex carbs in their diet! It's all about "balance" and good choices. Eat good carbs and balance them with good proteins. Your engine can't run without efficiently-burning fuel.
