Hi, I am not Cathe but there have been similar questions asked and answered recently. Why don't you look under the Open Discussion Forum in the Muscle Toning Topic for the most recent. In my experience, the Slow&Heavy workouts gave me the best, best results but you have to go as heavy as you can with maintaining good form and up the weight ante when you can. I have even decreased the number of reps (not less than 8 reps) and have been able to increase the weight I lift because I have decreased the reps. I can't tell you how this has helped. Every once in a while I throw in an endurance workout (lower weight, more reps and good as an aid to bulid endurance for those involved in endurance sports)for a change but my focus has been low rep, high weight lifting. For me, cardio has also been very important. It is important to mix the cardio up as it is easy to get acclimated to cardio workouts. I do about 4 cardio workouts a week, sometimes 5, with at least one of them and not more than two/week being interval based. The rest of my cardio is step cardio, straight floor cardio such as KPC and circuit-based workouts. Good luck with your goals.
