Dear Cathe
I am 27 yrs old, weigh 125 and am 5.5. I have been doing your gymstyle legs, butts and guts, ab surcuits, and i am currently using p90x upper body, I also run for 40 min 2 0r 3 times a week. I am new to working out and have been doing it for about 3 months. My lower and upper body have really improved in the last 3 months but the problem is my stomach area. it seams it's gotton worse since i have started doing ab workouts. Is this normal? will it improve over time or should i try a different ab routine?. I also wanted to say your dvds are the 1st ones I have actually loved doing. I really want to get your sts system and am saving to do so,,So thanks.

Hi NSN! Congrats on your accomplishments. As far as your abs not responding positively, this is too hard to know without seeing you do the actual ab workouts. Also Ab Circuits provides enough variety so I don't think it's due to your body being too used to one routine. Based on what you wrote, you SHOULD be seeing ab improvements. But for many the ab area is the last to show results so perhaps give it more time since it has only been three months. If you aren't already doing so, work on posture awareness too. Many times a belly will protrude as a result of poor posture and just standing straighter changes the whole appearance of the belly area. And lastly, and probably most importantly, the abs are a direct reflection of your food choices. The leaner you eat, the leaner your abs. Hope these tips help.
