:D Hi All! I realize it has been a while since I have posted, but I have been extremely busy with the sale of my home, coaching T-Ball, rummage sales etc. Needless to say, I have really been slacking on my workouts! It is amazing what happens to my body when I stop working out to Cathe! I hate to admit it, but I have gained at least 5+ lbs. I can't believe how the weight creeps on much quicker since I am approaching 40! Anyway, we will be moving to Vero Beach Florida July 9th! Can you see us driving from New York state with 2 pug dogs, a hamster and a cat in the car? I am hoping with the warmer weather year round and the fact that I will be wearing less clothing will be motivation for me to get with the program. Our condo we will be living at even has a workout room and an inground pool! No excuses right?

Hi, Lisa! Congratulations on the quantum leap! I grew up in Tallahassee and went to college in St. Pete. Once you've gotten used to sub-tropic temps and humidity Florida can be a great place to live, Guvna Shrub notwithstanding.

Sooooooooooooooooooooooooooo . . . you will have access to an indoor pool, hmmmm?

I was born in Tallahassee and visited my grandparents in Key West every summer for years. I go diving in the Keys every winter. There are some great things about Florida. It's a bit flat and infested with senior citizens (some are wonderful, some are very very annoying). The bugs, especially the "palmetto bugs" are legendary, and the heat will make you a man! Sorta.

But there's so much to enjoy. Congratulations.

Congrats! Ironically I just heard a blurb on the radio last night that Florida is actually the 6th sunniest state :) Arizona was #1, California #2, Texas #3 and I forgot the other two.

As a tax attorney I can tell you that it's a great state to live in (and die in). :+ Enjoy your new home!

Florida is my favorite state!!! I just got back saturday from vacationing in Panama City Beach--touristy I know, but it's tradition since I was a kid. Congratualations and I'm so very jealous!x(

Lisa~That is GREAT! I bet Grandma is upset though??? Have a safe trip, keep us posted on how you are and Good Luck with the new job! Is this a new hamster??? Brownie??? Sorry, I might have asked you already if you ever found him. I'm having a Granny moment! :7 GOOD LUCK!!!

DebbieH!!!!!

:D I forgive you for having a grandma moment! You must be so proud. Colton is adorable! Brownie was the hamster we lost and Hammy is the hamster we replaced him with! Boy, what a memory you have! I wanted Lacey (my daughter) to give him to a friend, but no way will she give him up! Would you believe I have not told Grandma yet? I am so chicken! I have not been seeing her as often lately with all that is going on and I am scared Lacey will tell her if we visit! I was really not thinking of telling her until after we are down there. That is pretty cruel though huh? I just don't want to hear it and have tears etc.

Lisa!

Oh boy, that is going to be soo hard breaking it to Grandma. Good Luck. I hope she understands. I hope Hammy has a nice trip down and I bet Brownie found a new home and wouldn't have liked the heat! :p Will be thinking of you all!

Lisa:
Congratulations! That is really exciting. We never did get to workout together (I am the one in Bing)!

I have not been on the forums much lately, but I thought I remembered you posting that you recently found a new job in the Elmira area? Did I miss something?

Anyway, best of luck to you and your family!

Congratulations, Lisa! Florida is one of my favorite places to visit and I'm one of those someday hoping to retire there...I promise to not be annoying, but since I'm only 34 I may not remember that I said that!!!

Good luck!!!:)

TO: cruncholi!!

:D Yes, I did find a job in Elmira, but unfortunately I have to pay for family insurance at $700 a month and the insurance is not good. Needless to say, I decided to take this job in Florida as they paid for me to fly down and interview and they are paying for my relocation. We have been wanting to move for quite some time now and now we are ready!
