Move It to Lose It June 7-13

Cathlete
Hi girls! I just finished Imax 2/ME abs. I was sweating buckets. I've decided to follow Cathe's June rotation. Then I may do a rotation she posted recently calling for short cardios and PUB/PLB two times a week. Tomorrow it is HSTA again! We had a great thunderstorm last night. It is overcast but no rain yet today. I had some family over last night to try out a cheesecake dessert from the Eating For Life cook book. It uses low fat cottage cheese, fat free cream cheese, vanilla extract, splenda, and egg beaters in a low fat ready made graham cracker crust. We put fresh strawberries on top and Lite Cool Whip. It was delicious and the fam loved it!

Have a great week!

Eating was good yesterday. I got up and made Fortified French Toast this morning(Eating For Life recipe). I plan on doing HSTA today but may add on short additional arm work. Hey, it's summer and I have the time so why not? I don't know if I'll stick with this rotation for June. I really want to do the CTX cardio/PUB/PLB rotation Cathe posted yesterday...it looks awesome! Have a good day ladies!

Angela- As I write, my pasta and shrimp are cooling for the Shrimp parmesan recipe for the eating For Life CookBook. I hope it is good, it looks awesome. That CTX and PUB and PLB rotation does sound intriguing, but I have to finish my P90X rotation. Talk to you tomorrow.
Lori

Lori,
How did your pasta and shrimp turn out? Randi, how are you? I hope you are having a good week!

Tonight I did Imax/PUB abs...whew! I'm glad tonight's workout is over. I had the major dread factor going on tonight but I was able to overcome...tee hee!:p
Have a good night!
Angela

My pasta and shrimp turned out ok, I needed to cook my pasta a little longer. I had a couple of things going at once, and did not watch my time.

I weighed and measured today from my first month of P90X. I lost an 1/2" in 3 places, my waist, thigh, and hips. I also lost one lb. I am totally thrilled. My eating has been ok, but not perfect. I can see much more definition which really makes me happy.

Today I am doing Ab Ripper, Chest, shouldetrs, and Triceps, and the KPC premix of 37 minutes. Talk to you later......

RE: Move It to Lose It June 14-20

Good for you Lori! I completed HSTA today. I am tired and it is overcast. It was a "I can live through this workout" kind of day instead of the pumped up feeling I usually have. Kind of a drag. I think the weather and the fact that I got so hot at work this morning(very humid) dragged me way down today. Oh well. Some days you win and some days you just chug on through! This is what I hope to do the rest of the week:
T: MIC
W: LL or PLB/abs
TH: PUB or Upper body mix from PP/SS
F: KPC or Cardio Kicks or Other Cardio of choice(I should do something besides step for cross training)
S: HSTA
Su: SB/SJP Cardio Circuit Premix/abs

Edited for big time typo's!

RE: Move It to Lose It June 14-20

Hi girls! I haven't actually read any of your posts yet, just wanted to check in first. I've been sick and worked out for the first time since last Saturday yesterday. I've got this cough that won't go away and just some general fatigue, etc. I did some cardio yesterday and left before I overdid it with weight training, lol. I just wasn't feeling up to it.

I still haven't done the new high step advanced workout, we have houseguests until Wed. so maybe after that.

ttyl,

Randi

RE: Move It to Lose It June 14-20

Randi,
Take it slow and get completely well. I did MIC and the abs from SS & PP. We are taking dinner to and having dinner with a home bound friend tomorrow night. I have been so tired this week. The humidity level is high and my summer job is constant motion. The air does not work well and the air is so damp inside the school. I'm loving the job though. Have a good evening.
Angela:)

RE: Move It to Lose It June 14-20

Randi- I hope you feel better today!!!!

You guys, I HATE to admit this, but I have not tried the new High Step workout, either. I am really enjoying my P90X workouts, and I just do not have any desire.

I am tired today. Don't know why, but I am.

Angela- What kind of a job are you doing for the summer????

RE: Move It to Lose It June 14-20

I am teaching very young Autistic children ages 3 to 5. Lori, I keep hearing GREAT things about the Power 90X series. I'm glad you are enjoying them so much. I like the HSTA and have done it regularly since I've received it. After this rotation I will be done with it for a while though. It is good, but like I've said before the music is just o.k. I need it LOUDER!!!

Yesterday I did PUB today I plan on doin PLB. I may just have to go to a pyramid rotation next. I LOVE them. For some reason they give me more visible results than anything else so far. I'm also thinking of going to the Intensity Series rotation Cathe posted when they first came out.

Randi, are you feeling better? Talk to you two later!

RE: Move It to Lose It June 14-20

Angela- I have 2 grand children that are Autistic. They live in North Carolina, they are my husband's son's two boys. Auldyn is 4, and he is like a miniture genius. He is only slightly autistic. Aspen, he is 3, and he is pretty much in his own world most all of the time. They go to a really awesome school, it is a moissuary?? Something like that, I am sure you know what I am talking about?? It has really helped Auldyn, and Aspen too, but he is slightly to severly autistic, and I am sure, will never be totally normal. It is amazing to watch him. It is very sad that there is this beautiful little boy in there, and you just can not reach him.

Well, I am tired today, again, I have just had more on my plate lately than I can take care of. Today it is Legs and Back, plus Ab Rippper. Tomorrow I am going to do cathe's 82 minute KPC/L&G's premix.

Randy, I hope you are well.

RE: Move It to Lose It June 14-20

Hi Lori,
It is amazing how broad the spectrum is for Autism. Have you heard of Applied Behavior Therapy? It is something my school district uses and it seems to be very effective for a lot of children with Autism. You have to be specifically trained to do it and it is done one on one. I am not trained to do ABT but would not mind getting trained in it. The only draw back from a teacher's point of view is it requires a lot of documentation and paperwork. There are so many programs to help all kinds of children now and to see how far many of these children come in a few years is awesome!

Today I did KPC. It was tough after doing PLB last night. I find KPC to be a great cardio workout. It does seem like some of those drills are NEVER going to end though. My husband just left for a Promise Keeper weekend. I will spend the night with my mom tonight. We may go to dinner and see the new Tom Hanks movie. I'm having the family over for Father's Day Sunday after church. Have a terrific weekend!

Let us know how you are doing Randi!

RE: Move It to Lose It June 14-20

Hi Angela, and randi wherever you are??? I don't know a whole lot about what they do because they live so far away. I know they are very involved with those kids, and take them to many classes, therapy, etc. Misty, the mother, is a nurse, so they know alot. Their school is awesome too.

Today I am going to do the KPC/L&G's premix. My daughter told me on tuesday, when I was going to go and lay out for a bit, that I had a 6 pack going on!!!!!! Then yesterday, I came up from working out, and she told me that my legs were getting "Skinny." I have been feeling a lot tighter lately, and it is encouraging me to watch my diet even more. I feel better than ever. I just hope I can keep improving!!!!!!!!

My husband and I might go to see that movie also. I wanted to go see Troy, but never made it. It is still out, but I would like to see this one too.

Take care and have a great weekend!!!!

RE: Move It to Lose It June 14-20

Lori,
Good for you girl! Keep up the great work! I can't believe all the people who are LOVING Power 90X and seeing such visible results. Out of the mouth of babes come truth...so what a complement! Woo hoo! What makes it so different from Cathe? Is it b/c you are focusing on one or two muscle groups per day? Forgive me if I've asked you this before, but did you purchase all the equipment that goes with these workouts also? Are you modifiying at all? I don't know how I would ever talk my husband into me getting this except I think he would be able to get into doing it also.

Mom and I never got to the movies. We will go at a later time.

Randi????? Where are you??????

RE: Move It to Lose It June 14-20

Angela- the movie was not all that great. It was good, no swearing, no violence, but it dragged I thought. I would give it a 5-6 on a scale of 1 to 10.

I don't know why I am seeing such great results. I think because they are strength workouts, for one. I have never, on myself, noticed such changes in my physique like I have with these. I bought some bands, and that is it. I can not do pull ups. In my last month, I am going to try to do some, but for know, I just use the bands. I also have given up on dieting, and I think that has some to do with it also. I only lost 1 lb. last month, but I am eating BFL way, and just cheating when I need to. I am not stressing out over it, and if I know I am going out to eat, not just pigging out all day because I know I am going to blow it.

My husband does not care if I spend money on this stuff if I use it. I can't remember if I ever actually told him the price, but if I use it, he doesn't care.

RE: Move It to Lose It June 14-20

My hubby has been great about all my fitness purchases...but we really don't have the extra money right now....one day I will be getting these though. It IS really hard to resist considering all the positive threads regarding this series. I've got him pretty trained in that I pretty much pre-order any new Cathe's....I told him her workouts are a staple in my life like milk and cereal are to his diet...tee hee1}( :7 I don't know how I would begin to explain spending $150 plus on MORE workouts. Then he would ask if Cathe would be making workouts soon and he KNOWS I will be ordering those! Anyway, yesterday I completed BC. I may do cardio today or I may end up just taking a nice rest. I'm leaning more towards rest today! Have a good one!
