Good morning! The pikes in PUB slay me every time. I'm determined to do them all with good form one day soon. I should set a date.

This morning I did LG and I'll do interval cardio later on at the gym in my husband's building. I forgot about that. I'm leaving early today so hopefully it won't be too crowded there.

Tomorrow is BBA and instead of SJP I'm planning on doing a premix from KPC. On Sunday I'm planning on doing Firm It Up from the Slim Series and maybe I'll do the SJP cardio on that day instead. Depends on my mood!

Have a great day and if I don't get to check in this weekend, a great weekend too. My anniversary is tomorrow so I know I'll be busy all day getting ready, and then most of the night...

Okay, I'm not replying to my own post this time, I just wanted to get both of your opinions about something. I'm going to change my routine for the next four weeks and here are the options I'm considering:

1. Keeping to the same LGI8 format, just adding/subbing jumping rope and treadmill cardio and making it a point to train as heavy as possible.

2. Forgoing the LGI8 rotation completely this time around and doing a Slim Series rotation to get fast(er) results...

Also, in either case I'm going to plan my meals and keep track of my food intake more carefully. I am of course leaning toward the first option. I love lifting and I love my intense cardio. I'm just wondering if my body needs the shock of something different?

Feedback is welcome. Thanks in advance.

Randi- I have SERIOUSLY considered doing a Slim Series Rotation. I would LOVE to do one together. Today I am going to rest because my body is sore. If we do one, I need to start mine tomorrow to get all 6 days in. Next Friday morning, at about 6, I will be getting on a bus headed to Indianapolis to go to a Rally for Premier Designs. I am a jeweler, and have been for about 3 years. We have 2 Rally's a year. Anywho, even if you don't. maybe I will still do one. I have been thinking about it for awhile. I think I need a change.

Angela- I hope things are going well!!!!! Do you have the Slim Series???

Hey guys! Randi, congrats on the anniversary...enjoy your weekend!!! I think you are right to listen to your body and shake things up if that's what you think you need. Either option sounds great. You will know what works for you once you've done it for a while. I KNOW I tend to overdue it on the cardio...it's just such a stress reliever for me. I am trying to focus on weight training more so than I have in the past. I will probably stick with a similar rotation for a while or do one of Cathe's posted rotations.

Lori, I don't have the Slim Series. I hear such differing opinions about them. If you guys do a rotation we could all still check in...I'll just keep doing my Cathe...tee hee! This is my second year(I believe) working out with Cathe and I just haven't tired of her one bit yet. I'm hoping I can order the one new advanced DVD. I just can't get enough!

I am doing some sort of cardio tonight and then SS Three Set premix tomorrow.

Good morning,

Haven't worked out yet today. Late night last night and my daughter has lessons this morning - dance and gymnastics - her dance class was canceled at the last minute so we're off to gymnastics in a few minutes.

I've had the Slim Series workouts since May, I guess? I tried them when I first got them and liked the results that I got but I am a total Cathe/cardio addict and couldn't stay away. I just enjoy my cardio and heavier weights too much. OTOH, I'd like to give them another try just to shake things up a bit. So if you're in Lori we can do a Slim Series rotation together - I'll start on Monday. What I may do is alternate one week of SS with one week of Cathe so that I don't miss out entirely. Also, I'm going to do a few days of treadmill cardio during my SS weeks.

Let me know when you're going to start Lori! I have to take a look through my SS materials and I'll probably do the Slim Training rotation.

Angela, I've been working out with Cathe since 1999 and I still haven't gotten tired of her workouts! I do them almost exclusively, so I completely understand how you feel. I'm going to preorder the new advanced w/o together with the Terminator. Free shipping, you know :)!

Randi- I LOVE Cathe too!!!!! I would like to alternate weeks also. I was thinking the exact same thing!!!! I am going to start my SS today because I have exactly 6 days until I leave, and I can get in all the workouts. I will also add in more cardio. The day you are supposed to do Cool It Off, I will do a cardio. I am going to follow the "I Have All These Tapes and Dang It I'm Gonna Use Them" rotation.

Angela- Of course we can keep checking in together!!! We are always doing different things anyway. We all keep each other going!!!!

My eating has not been the best the last 2 days, but I am getting back on track today.

Hey Lori & Randi,
My husband thought I was out of my mind but I did my workout last night at 10:00 p.m.! I finished up around 11 showered, relaxed, then went to bed around 12:30. I slept in until 8:45 and it was a great sleep! I did SJP WU&step only/SB challenge only/Body Max step only(no leg circuits)/PLB stretch.

I am very curious about the Slim in 6 and may have to check them out at some point. My eating was not great during my "iced" in days...just grazing and munching. I'm working on it though and really keeping track of my points. My flex points start over every Friday which helps me on the weekends. Last night I made chili from Denise Austin's Burn the Fat cook book. It is quite good. I substitued lean ground round for one can of beans as my husband loves his meat! I served it with reduced fat tortilla chips and reduced fat sour cream...delicious!

Well, I'm off to do SS...giving the 3 set premix with no core a try today! Have a great weekend!

Well, my first SS is done. I did Shape It Up. It was a great workout. I did nopt have time for extra cardio today, but tomorrow I will. Talk to you guys soon.

Good for you Lori. The Supersets 3 set premix is a killer...especially the last two rounds. My tri's and bi's are screamin' right now...but I LOVE that! On the last set of seesaw pushups I almost got carpet burn on my nose...oops! I just wanted to eek out one more but my arms were jelly and I KNEW if I went down one more time that I would be eating carpet! See you!:p
