aaah eric is so hot lol. i love him and id rather sookie be with him than bill. bill is getting on my nerves; he is WAY too moody!! i cant remember if eric was being sneaky in the books or if he actually needed her to get the bullets out?
hopefully the show will take the course the books did with lorena because i want her OFF the show!! and is anyone else sick of this marianne thing? she needs to go too LOL

IIRC, Eric WAS being sneaky in the book, but it took much longer for Sookie to figure that out - Bill didn't walk up and tell her.
Yeah - I love the Jessica/Hoyt storyline and I can't wait for more Eric/Sookie/Bill love triangle stuff, but I am SO OVER the whole Marianne thing, although I am glad they're keeping everyone busy back in Bon Temps. I expect the next three episodes will rock even more than the last two - and I think the last two episodes were freaking AMAZING.
I'm willing to see more of Lorena, though. She's really wicked and well, I sorta like that in a vampire.

Yeah, I was bummed by Godric offing himself...I kinda liked him too.
The Eric thing was so funny....I love to hate him.
I too want the whole Maryanne thing over with...she needs to get her bull butt kicked.

I liked how they killed off Godric, . . because I love how they showed the relationship between Eric and Godric, . . it humanized Eric more and made him all that much more loveable. I knew he was going to die because of the books but the show really gave it more meaning. It made one think about how Godric must feel having to live for 2000 years and see humanity at its worst, . .hoping for redemption at death, . . .I loved it.
I'm so over with the Maryanne thing, . . .I wish that would just end it takes up to much of my Eric time, . .although I thought that was cool the way Lafayette rushed in and picked up Tara and ran her out of the house. In the book Sam and Maryanne get their grooves on but in the show they hate each other so it will be interesting to see how this story line ends, . . but I do want it to end. There are only 3 more episodes left and I can't wait to see the downfall of Bill and the relationship between Sookie and Eric develop. Hoyt and Jessica are just to darn cute. Love them. Wonder what they are going to do with Jason?

I'm reading through the books right now and am currently reading "Dead to the World."
Since "spoiler" is mentioned in the thread title...
I listen to "Broadminded" on XMradio and the hosts, Molly & Christine, discuss True Blood every monday...anyway, a listener called in (I think this was a month or so ago) and said the show was filming the last couple of episodes in a small town near her (can't remember if it was in Mississippi or Louisianna) and the town looked like a hurricaine hit it for the filming. I imagine this is building up to a season finale about Maryanne since everything blows around her when she's angry.
The actor who portrays Sam was interviewed on Fox the other day and he said they will start filming season three in early December. I can't believe I'm so hooked into this series...but then I used to run from the bus stop after school to catch the last 15 minutes of "Dark Shadows."

I liked the way Godric's death was handled in the series much more than the book, also. I love Lafayette!! And I do find the relationship between Eric and Sookie much more interesting than her relationship with Bill.

Yes, there was an issue with Bill in the books. Bill certainly was sneaky in his own way - and as much as a fought it... I am on team Eric.

Kim you just have to read the books. I won't spoil it for you but in the latest book it still is a big question of Bill or Eric, . . so although there is a downfall Bill never really goes away. BTW I actually like Lorena's character in the show, . . .she's powerful, but sad, and weakened by Bill because she cares so much for him. It really kinda shows the whole, . .can a vampire who kills still have a sense of humanity or is a vampire always a vampire, . .all blood and lust? Oh and I am so on the team Eric team, . .maybe because my husband is Swedish.
Do you find it tough to not say too much? I sure do. I don't want to spoil the show in case it follows the book.
I do wonder what direction the show will go now? Especially with Jason, Lorena, & some of the other things that are new to those of us who have read the books.
