Hi and Good Morning to you all!

Brrrr it is cold today!

Getting things started this morning with a question for you all.

What is your favorite ab workout?

Goal for today:

EAT-CLEAN
GS Legs
KPC - abs

BBL

I am ready to start this challenge, even though I am weeks behind you all.
Meals are planned;

B~Fool Yourself Cookies ( receipe from BFL Tracker ) 16oz Coffee.
WATER!!
S~CC/Yogurt
L~Chicken Breast, Brown Rice, Peas
S~Egg whites w/ cheese - light w/w english muffin
D~Fish, veggies, salad
S~Protein Shake!

Feeling good! I stepped on the scale this morning, and I was up 7.5 pds since last doing BFL! YUCK!! :(

I am debating on following BBC, or going by the book. I really want to follow this challege to the "T"...
Does anyone use the Pyramids?

Glad your back with us. :)

Good to have your meals all planned out for the day to keep you on track. Also, to have your workouts planned ahead of time by the month. This is what we have been up to. I went out and bought a notebook which has large daily calendar pages to write in the workouts and what I ate. This way I can open to the day and see my workout without having to guess what I might get done.

I have been alternating between the GS, SH and Pyramids during this challenge. They all you differently and I love the change of pace.

I will be BBL because I have to get DS off to school.

Jennifer's BACK! Jennifer...I saw a recent post of your on the Tracker saying you were starting up today! YAY!!!!!!! What team do you belong to over there???? I was posting on the Shut Up & Lift, but sometimes I'm not all that motivated by the group there. I've been following the BFL workouts to a T...by the book. Until today...today I veered off to do PLB heavier than normal and LOVED it! I'm planning on using the PLB DVD for the next 2 weeks, but sticking with the BFL Upper Body routine.

Heidi-my mini goals for today are my gallon jug of water, clean eating, and NO NIBBLING on ANYTHING that's not BFL!

I slept in this morning, to get rid of the last side effects of yesterday's hangover! LOL The party was a RIOT! I got my workout in after the kids got on the bus this AM. I did PLB, using heavier weights than I ever have for that workout. I'm kind of wobbly-walking now! LOL

I have to be super quick. Since I worked out later than normal, my PC time is cut short!

I just joined NoXcuses this morning. A former teamie started back up over the weekend, and we got back in touch!
Come stop over Fab Femmes, this is a great team. Sometimes it lacks motivation, but they are good people! Can't say much for NoXcuses, seems like a good team though!

I just finished up my GS legs and KPC abs too. I know what you mean about feeling a little wobbley! Feeling the burn!}(

I was going to add in an iTread run but I think that will hold off until later today. (Maybe even hold off until tomorrow.) Have to see what my legs feel like later today. I have run about 8 miles and walked 3.5 in the last 3 days so my legs are a little tight right now.

Yes Yes on that water. Haven't been taking in enough myself the last few days or so.

Have to go to work soon. BBL:)
 
Good morning. It's still morning in CA anyway! Got up and did 25 minutes of Step Blast. Hit snooze too long to do more and that's about all my heart can handle right now, I'm SO out of shape!!! Last week I only did cardio to get myself started so now I have to decide if I want to do BFL lifting, pyramids or slow/heavy. Or better yet BUY GS :)

Heidi: Ok don’t laugh but my fav ab workouts are the ancient Firm 5 day abs tapes. Or the ab routine of Cathe’s that uses a ball, it’s at the end of one of her pyramid tapes I think.

Jenn: Fool Yourself Cookies – those are so good!! I’m late getting started too! I use the pyramids. What I usually do for a 12 week rotation is 4 weeks BFL: by the book lifting, 4 weeks pyramids and 4 weeks Slow and Heavy. I’m out of the loop these days. What are NoXcuses -&- Feb Femmes are the teams on BFL Tracker?? Edited to add: I found it!

Good morning everyone,

Ditto on the water! I've been so bad about that the past few days. I think it has something to do with the cooler weather. All I really want to drink are warm drinks! I can never get in more than the 64oz. requirement. I'm amazed by you girls who can drink a gallon. That's insane!

Somebody needs to direct me to the Fool Youself Cookies recipe, please!!

I've been using the Pyramids for my weight routines. I really like PLB for hitting the major lower body muscles. I always get a good workout. But for BFL, I'd pyramid up with Cathe, pause the dvd, do a HEAVY set of six, and then do two sets of twelve while she pyramids down. This week I'm switching back to S&H just to do something different, though. I seem to get bored easily.

Hey Jennifer,

The iTread programs are downloadable to your computer. From there you can either make a CD like me or plug in your mp3 and put it onto that.
My mp3 is really old so I haven't tried to download these yet because I don't want to lose what I have on there currently. I also doubt it will fit.

I have quite a few Firm workouts too! Ok...they are from awhile ago but I still think they are great workouts. I like #5 on that tape it gets me good!

Ok, now you have me curious...where is that recipe for the cookies? I didn't find it in the BFL cookbook...yet. But I found really bad things like cheesecake,brownies and such. :9
 
HERE IS THE RECEIPE FOR "FOOL YOURSELF COOKIES."

- 1/2 banana smashed- 1 tbsp. peanut butter - 1/3 cup oatmeal - 1 pkg. Swiss Miss No Sugar Added Hot Cocoa - 1/4 tsp. baking powder (NOT soda) - 1/2 scoop protein powder

Directions: Mix all ingredients thoroughly and drop by spoonfuls onto baking sheet. Bake at 300 degrees for 10 minutes. SERVING SIZE: 1 (makes 6 cookies, which equals ONE meal)

Can't wait to try them! I have everything at home for them except that specific type of hot cocoa. I have the Nestle's Diet Hot Cocoa. It's less calories than the no sugar added kind. I wonder if it would make a huge difference in the consistency of the dough or if they'd bake any different. Anyone know?

Hi everyone! Just wanted to let you know that I will probably be mostly absent from the thread for the next week and a half. I seriously have so much school work to do to be ready for next week's exams, plus I have lab stuff for my chem lab as well. Usually I don't want to do the work so I'll come visit Cathe's site but I seriously need to buckle down for this and stay away from my laptop!

So keep up the good work everyone and I will be sure to get my workouts in. I will really need them for stress management these next two weeks!

Good luck with your studies!x( My daughter is buckled down to her computer right now doing 2 17page lab reports. She has a big Orgo Chem this coming Weds she is cramming for.

Don't forget to take a break every now and then just to walk around and straighen your back. Yoga stretching is a must for when you are hanging over your computer or books for long periods of time.

My daughter does this and gets her back snapped by either her Dad or me. You wouldn't believe how much pressure is relieved when we do this!. It sounds just like the air bubble pack material when you pop them.

I would love to pack you in my suitcase to take a break from it all! :) My daughter can't say enough how much she is looking forward to this month long break in January. (Her boy friend thinks he is going too! Ha says Lana):7 They are only friends now....long story.;-)
