Hi ladies,
It's late, and I know most of you are probably asleep, but I wanted to check back in. DS has the "fever virus," which means just more Motrin and TLC. He told me all day, "Mommy, the doctor said I'm not sick. I just have a fever." So cute. His fever crept up to 103 this afternoon (scary), but went away with medicine. So no school for him tomorrow, or soccer.
Kate--I am SO sorry that Gina is having a hard time leaving for school in the mornings. I had a couple of ideas. Do you have the book "The Kissing Hand" ? It's SO sweet, and it may help. Here's the Amazon description: Chester Raccoon doesn't want to go to school--he wants to stay home with his mother. She assures him that he'll love school--with its promise of new friends, new toys, and new books. Even better, she has a special secret that's been in the family for years--the Kissing Hand. Mine came with little heart stickers that you can stick on your child's palm too, so they'll be reminded of you during the day. ALSO: does Gina take a lunchbox? Maybe gather up some cheap goodies, like some stickers, a neat pencil, a pretty bobbley plastic necklace, etc. to put in her lunchbox and tell her that she has a surprise in her lunchbox, but she won't know what it is until she goes to school. Just a few ideas...
Jen--Yes on the yucky discharge. However, if it doesn't seem normal, ask your doc because it could be a yeast infection. Pregnancy messes with the "flora and fauna" down there (as my old doc used to say).
