Monday Check-In******

Hi girls!

I have to just say a quick hello. I have to take Wilson to check out this school close to our house and possibly register him there.

Jen, tell us how you like the Wii. My kids don't have any video games but I was thinking the Wii would be fun. Be sure to wear the wrist bands b/c my friends son threw the controller right through their plasma screen and the tv had to be trashed.

JenM, glad you had a good time. I want to see pics too. I will e-mail you later today.

Kate, how many classes do you have to go to? I did lamaze with Wilson but have skipped out with the last 2 since I know I just want an epidural:D

Maggie, I am getting really excited for your little girl to get here. My boys were late too and I know how hard the last few weeks are.

Susan, I'm glad Haley is home. I will be shopping for school supplies today also. I really am not ready for school to start:(

Lori, welcome and congratulations!! I am pg with my third boy due Oct 18th. I was sick with this pg the first 15 weeks. Every pg is different this was my worst out of the 3 morning sickness wise. It does get better.

Wow I really need to get going. I will have to workout this afternoon .

Wow! I guess I am an amazon here too then! LOL. Im not tall and lanky like some of the other road trippers so i felt pretty average there :)

Lulu72 - i am a police officer so my job is pretty high stress with long hours. However I am off the road now due to being pregnant so i have more of a desk job now for safety/liability reasons.

Jen, Not sure why they changed! :confused:The food was decent (after I sent mine back because it actually wasn’t cooked thru!), service was fine. Weird…….

Lori, Sorry for the nausea. (((hugs))) to you! It typically goes away at the end of your 1st trimester. Hang in there! :DAnd the insomnia gets ya in your 3rd! But thankfully the 2nd tri is pretty much bliss! You have the same bday as my youngest sis. With my other 2 they came 1.5 weeks early, so I’m hoping for the same thing this time! We’ll see…

Susan, LOL on the cooking show! What an imagination! Great WO! I’m jealous!

Maggie, Happy Bday to DS! (You actually typed “Dh13’s 14th bday. Somehow I doubt your 13th DH is turning 14 today!! LOL!:eek:) Give him a hug for us. And I sooooooo was NOT disciplined about food this weekend. :mad:I am carb detoxing today!:mad: The classes this month are separate from the hypbobirthing. This is just general info that the birth center wants you to go thru every time.

As long as we’re sharing heights I’m a 5’6” amazon too!!! And an incontinent whale as Stephanie likes to put it!

Stephanie, I hope Olver enjoys this year again. Oh, how I wish we were ½ day K’ers again! Full day at 1st grade for us too! Isabel starts 4-yo. preschool mid-Sept. yay to that though! Your party sounds like fun. Lat year I took Dds to PF Chang’s after school got out.

Candra, Classes are every Monday thru August. I like the idea of a forced date night! This pg was my worst too for AM sickness. Maybe just because I’m so much older……:mad::p

Lots of errands this AM and the house is all picked up! Hoping for some cardio this afternoon before I leave for CB class. Send me "no-eating chocolate chip cookie" vibes!~~~~~~~~~~:eek:
 
YAY! I did my workout! :D
I did 4 miles of a Leslie Sansone DVD. :eek: Pre-preg, I'd be hangin' my head in shame. However, its nice to modify up instead of down. Admittedly they can side-step further than me right now but I do lateral skates in those spots to get my hr up higher!:eek: DH would FREAK OUT if he saw me do that! shhhhhhhhhhhh!

Got a short nap in too when DDs first fell asleep! Need to shower up and get ready for my "hot date"! Anybody else miss the devilish smiley? Maggie, I know you do! He was such a useful little guy!:)

I'll try to get back on before I leave....
 
kate, funny you mentioned the smiley. Someone asked chris during the q and a to bring it back! He said eventually they will probably do personalized icons, whatever that means. Maybe little fitness ones? LOL. So, hopefully one day you will have the devil back! >:)

Kate-dd had an awesome 1st grade teacher in Mississippi. I think that is what helped her through the 2nd grade here. She got the "young" 2nd grade teacher so I think that is good. The other 2 are much older and I think a fresh outlook on things is good. We'll see! The "gifted" program here last year was just as bad. All they did was play chess. While I think its GREAT Haley can play chess I do not think its a good reason to leave class!! In Mississippi they had special projects they did etc. The program here will be getting a new director this year..yayyy. We are in the best school district here...hmmmmm. Maggie, can Haley come to school at your house???
We did our cooking show and I made a batch of protein pancakes. Got all the school supplies so we are set.
Im being a great wife again and making FRIED chicken..Kate help me!

LOL--my dh is 14? I am quite the cradle robber--didn't catch that typo and I usually read through my posts to edit for errors--whoops!

Ds 14 was helping me clean up and we found a baseball "stat" photo from Little League 3 years ago. Not only does he look like a little boy in the pic, but he weighed 90 lbs and was 4'9". Now he is 5'8 1/2" and weight almost 160 and developing some fine muscle. That's an average of 3 inches and over 20 lbs per year!

Candra--I hope the registration goes well, if in fact you plan to register him at that school.

Lori--I'm due the 18th, but I have a feeling I'm going to be late. Also, I've scheduled and induction for the 22nd, but I have a feeling I'm going to get bumped. If that happens, look out world--over due pregnant lady on the rampage!:eek:

Stephanie--Is this a private school or does public school start much earlier than it did when I was little? Our district still starts the day after Labor Day, which I think is pretty traditional, but I keep hearing about schools that start earlier and earlier. I hope the sub gets used to her students and visa versa.

Kate--have fun on your hot date:eek: (I'll just substitute the eek smiley for the devilish smiley....it's just not the same, but it'll have to do). I love dates with dh--wish they happened more often....

JenM--I'm off to look at your picture as soon as I finish posting.

Susan--Haley can come to school at our house, if I can come eat at yours;). But she'd have to put up with my latest southern sayings, such as "Child, go fetch me that there [fill in the blanks] yonder." or "Child, mind yer bidnis." I have this habit of talking like whatever I'm reading or watching frequently--( I have lots of sayings from A&E's Pride and Predjudice or Lord of the Rings, for example.....) rambling...sorry.

good evening everyone! How is everyone feeling? Its rare i post in the evening

i came home around 530pm from work, saw my husband all of three minutes before it was time for him to leave for his 12 hour shift, and i havejust been being lazy. i havent even done the dishes from my lunch yet! im so tired

my husband wont be joining me on the flight to CT for the shower my mom wants to throw. im a little depressed because first he said hed love to and she was going to make it for both men and women. Im never up there anymore and its more to see everyone and of course get some gifts :) but he (and I) do not have a lot of vacation time since we only started our new jobs in florida in november. so he decided not to go. i understand but im still bummed. i feel like he is missing this pregnancy because we rarely see each other, when im home he is at work and vice versa. our schedules are opposite. He couldnt go to my first ultrasound with me either. I realize he has been through this three times already but its MY and OUR first pregnancy so i cant help but feel how i do. This is all so new to me. I think he feels bad and doesnt want me to think he's trying to get out of it. I dunno...i understand his reasoning i'm just sad. I will be about five months along, showing and having to travel alone with luggage. Oh well, at least i can see my mom. I rarely see her and she's my best friend. I cant get a lot of gifts tho (doesnt that stink??) because i'll be flying and with the luggage regulations and my phsyical limitations i dont have much choice!

anyway, i just needed to vent. im overtired and should go to bed early. i just miss my husband. i cant even call him ebcause everytime i do he is in teh middle of a call or a traffic stop or an arrest or cant pick up.

he is off wed and thur so i'll see him a couple hours each of those evenings when i get home. i will make him a bday dinner thur and a cake (my hobby - cake decorating!) becase his bday is friday and he has to work so i can break out the cake about midnite on thursday so it'll technically be friday lol

i was just uploading some new road trip pics, thinkingo f my great time and wishing i was there. real life is just so...mundane. its so nice to escape and do something you love.

Jen, Cute you and cute outfit!! Sorry for the woes on your pg and DH. If its any consolation Mike will be turning off his Nextel for the birth and *maybe* a few hours afterwards. Then back to business as usual. The joys of running a business! Would you be able to ship some gifts back? You're stronger than you give yourself credit for. Bring an empty suitcase to lug all that loot home! You're a cathlete after all!

Cradle-robber Maggie, Impressive stats on your DH, er, I mean DS!!! Why would your industion get bumped? Hey! I have an idea! Plan a date night, get yourself all sexy, and you'll spontaneously go into labor because I'm sure it's nearly impossible to actually get a date night with 6 kids. This will guarantee a birth date for you!

CB class was fun. The midwife that taught tonight is really spunky. I tell you what, I have seen more vaginas tonight (on video) than I ever care to see again........yuck!
 
Hi ladies! Sorry I've been MIA, but it has been so hard to get computer time lately. My nephew is leaving early tomorrow morning so we went to the beach this afternoon for one last time with him. My kids are in football/cheerleading season right now which is also another reason why finding time on the computer has been difficult. I've been doing a lot of walking and need to start doing more strength training, but haven't found much time to do it. I've been walking the hills and it feels really good to get some cardio in. I am now officially in my 3rd trimester at 28 weeks. Only 3 more mos to go!

Sorry for the lack of personals, but I haven't been able to keep up with everyone. I check-in to read and see if Maggie has given birth which I see she still hasn't. I hope everyone is doing well with their pgs, ttc journey, and pp recovery. Oh and I did pass my glucose test. Whew. I hope to be around more once things start to normalize schedule wise. You ladies are a busy bunch and I can't keep up!! I'll try really hard though!!
