Moms to be check in-mothers day week

Just from talking to others I think my doctor is extremely conservative that is why the weekly non-stress tests. I have had no problems with this pregnancy and she says everything looks great. Most people do not have to do the AM and PM kick counts either. Oh well, I don't really mind.

Curly- YES you did make me laugh b/c I was originally going to put that I hoped you didn't like anywhere like AZ! I grew up in AZ and lord knows the summers there are unlike anywhere else! If I were you I would be living in my bathing suit!:D I did when I was in AZ anyway and I wasn't pregnant!!!!! Maybe its just been harder on me b/c usually I am the one thats cold all the time and since I've been pregnant I am HOT all the time, even got a couple of heat rashes which I had never had. But the sundresses do help!!
As for kick counts, this little rascal moves so much I probably would drive myself crazy if I had to do counts in the am and pm!!!!;-)

It's not as bad as it sounds. You just need to get 10 kicks in one hour in both the am and pm. I usually get 10 in the first 5 minutes so then I am done.

sounds like your little one is taking after you and is exercising in there!

i went ot the dr today and unfortunately, the dr i normally see was out delivering someone. the midwife who saw me and measured me again said i am 4 weeks behind. baby is head down, and i don't feel any different, but i cannot help but worry. i have an us next wednesday - seems like forever away. it is hard to not be anxious, much as i remind myself that everything is fine, nothing is different per say. guess i am still learning patience.

HI gals.

Was in my cousin's pool today with Hannah, oh so fun. But it was sooo cool, I totally didn't feel prego in the water. Now I'm psyched for being preg here in AZ in the summer, I'll just swim everyday:D
Chi Chi, what part of AZ did you grow up in? I live in Chandler, you wouldn't believe the boom and change here! I do love it although I miss the greeny green. I was born and raised in Chicago, but been here 10 years now:) Moved here for the sun, Chicago weather will weather ya! Ick, but a fabulously fun city.

Do you love NC?

Morris hang in there, what do they mean 4 weeks behind? Can't they just leave unnecessary stuff out? Or is it?
I'm so excited for the euphoria that'll come naturally to you when peanut arrives, it is the highest high EVER!!

Shopper, how's it goin?????

Looks like I am back in the race. Doctor says I am 2 cm dilated and could go at any time. He thinks the baby is about 7 pounds or so but still can't get an accurate measurement. My weight gain has stabilized and as of today weight gain is about 22 pounds.

Good morning ladies!

Wow, you are all so close!!! I am not even thinking about packing my bag yet ;-) .

I had a dizzy spell in the shower this morning, it was kinda freaky. I had to kneel down to be able to finish my shower and sit down on the toilet to dry off  . I think I am ok now. Did that ever happy to any of you?

I am very very tired this week and haven't worked out yet except Sunday. But I am off Friday, so I can sleep in and do a nice workout }(!

Hope you all have a wonderful day
Kristine :)

Hi Kristine, I had the same problem in the beginning of my pregnancy and it turns out the it had to do with dehydration. I know some people just get dizzy from being pregnant as well I would make sure you are getting enough fluid and see what happens.

loos like we are going to be close together. I am going back to the ob tonite so we will see!!! I am sooooooo excited for you. Keep us posted.

How exciting for everyone! Its so nice to be so close! Have still been having the contractions, but there's no rhyme or reason to them yet so I just have to keep waiting! My workout was hard last night thanks to them though! Mostly in the back and I am HOPING i don't have back labor- that hurts so bad!
I lived all over AZ (dad was military, then when he got out was a preacher and in construction!) lived in Phoenix (tempe, mesa, scottsdale, paradise valley), Sierra Vista, Tombstone, Ajo....the list goes on! Chandler is really pretty from what I remember, been quite a while since I've been there! Now I am in NC b/c I married an Air Force guy- its nice, more country setting....me and hubby both were raised predominantly in Phoenix and Denver so its nice to be raising our kids in a smaller community but who knows where we'll be sent next?:)
I also passed out w/my first pregnancy, I was in wal-mart one day and felt myself blacking out and passed out! How scary! And I would get very light-headed when I stood up, moved too fast, etc. It was from having low blood pressure. Thankfully haven't had that this pregnancy. I had to move very slowly and couldn't really work out!;( Not happy!
Anybody hear about Evening Primrose Oil Tablets? If I haven't had the baby by my appt on Monday my doc is starting me on these to thin my cervix and start contractions. He said babys head is big so don't want to go to long and chance not being able to have him vaginally- although I pushed out his almost 10 lb, big head brother with no problem :D sorry don't feel like repeating that though!!!!
Okay this is long enough!
Heather

this is so exciting. i feel like we should be betting on who will go first.
shopaholic - did you feel different? what prompted them to check your cervix?

heather - how did you manage to exercise while having contractions? do you think it will speed you along?

mary - i will be interested to see how the evening primrose works for you. i ahve not heard of that. when will you see the dr again?

take care guys, and keep us posted!

Funny gal!

I get lightheaded quite a bit when I stand up. I didn't with my first, but quite often this time around. There was a couple times I saw fuzz, but it went away. It's a normal thing, not to worry;-)

Have a good day everyone!

Thanks for all your response.

This is my first one, so I will be asking some funny questions, if you all don't mind! ;-)

Just wait til all your body parts enlarge and change. OMI!!! It happens to all of us. Usually by 7 months. But everything goes back to normal after:eek:  ;-)

Well, I was doing legs & shoulders and towards the end started having some contractions so I finished up but afterwards they got a little more intense and I felt a little nauseaous. Tonight I am going to walk with my son in our neighborhood to try to push things along! I'll try whatever works!
I'll let everyone know how the evening primrose oil tablets work!
Heather

Krille, ask whatever you want here, that's what we are here for!
Morris, my doctor does internal exams to check for dilation at 36 weeks.
