hi everyone

thought i'd start us off as my internet is on and off these days. i will do it while i have. hope everyone had a good week. one new baby - mary's little boy made his arrival! heather will not be far behind i am sure.

linda and rachel, i hope you guys are feeling better and are as excited as i am for the day to hurry along.

curly, i say a post of yours about dropping step height b/c your little one is so so low. i am sure you will still get a workout, and comfort is certainly key. i find my heartrate goes up even walking, so what ever you do will help things along.

hope eveyone else is glad to be thru another week in the first trimester! i am feeling good at 36.5 weeks. still not sleeping great, still cramping a lot at night, but no complaints, esp since dh is home. had an ultrasound last week which showed a very small baby. after an initial bout of panic i am feeling less concerned. he is just so active, and otherwise looks totally normal. they are just going to keep checking me once a week to make sure. i have my group b strep test this week and am looking forward to them checking everything else, hopefully get an idea of when.

workouts still feel good, though i have decided to retire bootcamp until after baby:)
sun - kpc, boot camp (last time)
mon - low max, 35 min strength
tues - imax 2, cardio and weights step only
weds - step blast, muscle endurance
thurs - spin class 45 min, 30 min strength
fri - imax 2, legs and glutes
sat - low max

i look pretty silly doing imax 2 i know. no tuck jumps, just a jump. and a few other modifications. but i move and jump as i can and it does feel so nice.

have a great holiday

Hello to you too.

I just started working out. I m in my 15weeks. i just have to work on my time because i go to work at 8am and go home and cook. so i was just thinking of getting up at 5am and exercises. i have a question for you .. when doing KPC do you do all the jamming and kicking. i am just a little scare.

have a great day

Here is my week

30 minutes LowMax All Blasts
35 minutes Back, Shoulder, Biceps
35 minutes Chest, Triceps
30 minutes LowMax All Blasts

Went to Soak City and Cedar Point yesterday. It was 90 degrees here. Had my first painful Braxton Hicks. I may have started to get dehydrated.

I am getting so impatient. 26 more days to go. I got my group B strep test on Friday. I go every Friday for non-stress tests. I have an ultrasound on the 9th.

Work outs have been harder these past couple of days because of the heat.

I am so thankful I will not be pregnant all summer.

We finally have everything ready except the crib and installing the car seat.

Girl #2 due 6/25/06

Hi Everyone!

It's been a few weeks since I've posted and my workouts (and eating) have been pretty lame, but this past week I had some improvement:

Sunday - Low Max (no blasts)
Monday - Off
Tuesday - Low Max (no blasts)/Core Max2
Wednesday - PLB
Thursday - Off
Friday - Off
Saturday - Stepblast (no blasts)

Just a few more weeks to get through the 1st trimester - I can't wait!! My sickness has been up and down - some days very little and sometimes all day which has resulted in poor eating - eating sometimes helps the sickness feel better for a little while. I had my first ultrasound last week and was so happy to see my little one. Makes all of the sickness worth it. I was disappointed to learn that I had already gained 7 pounds!!! I know it's the poor eating and inconsistent excercise combined with the slower metabolism.

I'm so happy for all of those that recently delivered. CONGRATULATIONS!!

hi there dominican

i do the jabbing etc in kpc b/c it is comfortable for me. see what feels good and do that. i couldn't do lots of things b/c of discomfort. running, for instance, hurt my back after 21 weeks. also, as things grow and change you may find what you could not do one week feels fine 3 weeks later and vice versa.

rachel - what are the stress tests like?

I second what morris said- I did KPC up until 38 weeks and was still doing almost the whole thing but listened to my body (not wanting to get overheated, heart rate too high, etc.). I usually felt GREAT afterwards!

Good morning ladies!

I can't remember my workouts from last week. I think I worked out two or three times. I know that I did a 30 min Interval run on Saturday.

I worked out 4 days in a row now, Saturday, Sunday, Monday and today and it really helps to keep my nausea down. But now I am back to work and the nausea gets normally worse :-( .

Anyway, I had a great three day weekend and only have to work three day and I will be off for three days again :7 .

morris - I am so impressed by your workouts!!!

domincan - I used to get up at 4 in the morning to exercise, but since I am pregnant I have a hard time to get up that early, but it might work for you. You can do KPC like it is, just listen to your body and do what feels good.

Rachel - Wow, only 26 more days, you are getting so close.

Trish - Hey girl, is your due date 12/30/06? Your workouts are better than mine. I have the same thing if I eat I normally don't feel as sick. I think I gained about 3 or 4 pounds so far, but it could be more x( .

Other than that, my pants getting a little snug and I am thinking about ordering me one of those bella bands. Has anyone used one before?

Hope you all have a great week
Kristine :)

I felt much better this week - I think I may have had some bad allergies last week - probably exacerbated by the pregnancy.

I was *supposed* to have an ultrasound last Friday, but the machine was broken!! I was very disappointed. I may not get to see my baby until he actually arrives...which should only be a couple of weeks!

Rachel - I also had a GBS test on Friday. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it will be negative - I do not want antibiotics!!

Kristine - I have a bella band, and I thought it was so-so. When I folded it in half to wear with my "pre-preg" jeans (you have to fold it in half to hide the gap between the buttons) it was pretty snug and gave me a stomachache. It also tended to "ride up" in the back so the back of my waistband would pop out. On the other hand, it was a lifesaver when I was still wearing regular shirts but they were a bit too short...the bella band could "bridge the gap" so my belly wouldn't show.

Here's my workouts...
Sun: Prenatal Yoga
Mon: 30 min walk, Bosu Blast
Tues: Firm BSS1 add-on Cardio, Jillian Michaels Maximize
Wed: 30 min walk, The Next Step
Thurs: Leslie Sansone WATP 2-mile, Bosu Blast
Fri: 30 min walk, Cardio and Weights
Sat: Prenatal Yoga

The non-stress tests are no big deal. I just go in and get two monitors strapped to my belly. One tracks the baby's movements and one her heartbeat. They are just checking to make sure that her heart rate goes up when she is moving around. I only need to stay on it for 20 minutes as long as she is active. So far she had always been cooperative and I have not had to stay on for more than 20 minutes.

My doctor is extremely conservative and the reason I have to do these every week is advanced maternal age (I am 37). I did not have to do these at all with my first.

Rachel

Hi Kristine,

Yes, my due date is 12/30...same as yours???? Based on the LMP it was 12/24, but the Dr. adjusted the date based on the ultrasound and 12/30 actually agreed with the conception date. I'm hoping the weight will balance out over the next trimester, otherwise I will have a ton of weight to lose once this is all over.

I just checked out the bella band. I never heard of them before. I may look into getting one, too.

Is this your first pregnancy? I have a DD who will be 4 in July.

Toodles,
Trish

i got the bella band and complately agree with linda. worked okay to hide a gap, but definately found it rode up at times, so the idea you will continue in your prepregnancy jeans as before is not quite right. i'd say i used it for 4-6 weeks. not a bad investment.

looks like friday is the gbs day for all 3 of us.

linda, i am osrry you missed your us - can't they reschedule? glad you are feeling better though.

Trish, I thought I was gaining a ton but my weight gain stopped at about 32 weeks and despite gain ing 7 pounds the first trimester, gained 21.5 overall. So, don't worry.

I never bougght the bellyband but do recommend the under the belly maternity pants. sorry, say goodbye to your regular jeans but the under the belly maternity bottoms are great even in early pregnancy.

Shopaholic, I hope I follow in your footsteps - 21.5 pounds would be a dream! I gained about 30 pounds with DD#1 so anything less would feel great.

Actually, the marathon eating has started to slow down over this week and so has the nausea. I know it's silly, but now I wish the nausea was back - I know it sounds so ridiculous, but it was my way of knowing the baby was growing. Do any of you remember about when your nausea ended? I was thinking of renting a heart monitor just for reassurance. Has anyone tried one? I am starting to work myself up, but I've always been a worry wart x(

Anyways, hope everyone has a good weekend.

Trish

trish, i know just what you mean about the worrying and finding the nausea somewhat reassuring. my nausea ended between 12 and 13 weeks. it tapered before it stopped. after awhile i started to feel better as far as not worrying constantly. i did not rent a heart rate monitor. glad you are feeling better!

Morris, thanks for the reply. I'm happy to report that a little nausea showed up today:). Yaaaaayyyyy!! Maybe, like you, it's starting to taper. I will try not to worry much. My next US is on the 12th, so I'll try not to think about it and actually enjoy the fact that I'm not feeling so sick...ya know, like a normal person would:p
