Hi Emy.

Yes, I am in Miami.

How do I like it? I don't, really. Too hot and everything is too expensive. Too many hurricanes! :p

Are you considering moving here? :)

Runathon, No, I just moved to the Atlanta area. But some friends of ours are going to dental school in Fort Lauderdale area and they hate it and can't wait to move. I have been to Miami once just to catch a cruise and I couldn't believe that it really felt like the Miami Vice stereotype was true. Is that city really so vain? ;) Anyway, your area is getting pounded with storms. Everything okay with your family? If I lived in southern or coastal Florida, my house would be on the market. It seems in recent years the storms keep getting more frequent and more ferocious. Geez, it's making me think "are these the signs of the times or what!"

Well, I wish I could have been pregnant with you, Shopaholic and Maggie and Melanie. It would have been fun altogether. Oh well, I am kinda glad I'm not pregnant anymore, but maybe it will happen again sometime and briee and autumn (any others too) can join me. :7

Runathon...thanks a bunch. Actually it was Mel who was in the 26 minute range (I think it was even less if I remember correctly;-) ), I was more in the 27 range :) :) :) You've been so encouraging..... I think I had a little fun (though I fought the "this is torture" feeling all the way!!).

Autumn, I took a little break from the P90X to do more cardio this past month. I did Cathe's August rotation - fun fun fun. I just started doing P90X workouts this week again. I'll have to post my weeks schedule (when I can run down and get my book). Basically I do two P90X strength (upperbody) workouts during the week and add two leg days from Cathe (slow and heavy - or GS legs, L&G, or LL (which is feeling like an easier workout now!!! - remember how much I used to dread this??). Add to that a couple cardio and AB workouts and that's about it. Nothing fancy. I try to get in a circuit type or full body endurance workout during the week too. I did Chest and Back yesterday and BOY am I feeling it!!! I do NOT do any of the other P90X DVD's - just the four upperbody strength workouts.

I WISH like crazy that Cathe would do a P90X style workout....but then...it's not really Cathe's style and that's okay!! Next I wish Beachbody would do about 12 MORE P90X strength workouts....that would be heaven!! Enjoy your DVD's and .......well....DO THEM!!! They bring results!!

Briee

By the way....Maggie would you send me your email again....we got a computer overhaul and lost all of our email addresses. You can access it through my log in symbol I believe. Thanks a bunch

Briee--my email address is [email protected].

Runathon--are you out of danger with Hurricane Rita yet? I am not following it very closely as we have no TV, but it seems like it is in the Texas area now.

Happy Birthday to Alexis and Max, whose birthdays are very close to Mr. Bardric's.

Boybert--we all have a cold here. I feel like, well, you know....crap. I should be making dinner now, but I don't feel like it. I hope you guys are feeling better.

I cut Bardrics hair yesterday--about 1 inch all over his head. I did not intend to do anything that extreme, but he is so wiggly that I kept slipping. finally, I pulled out the electric clippers and just did the whole head. He did not enjoy the process at all, but he was trapped in his high chair and that was that. He does look very cute, but so much more "boy" than "baby" now. I was a little sad, but not much. It looks much better than my bad haircuts. I am too cheap to take the kids to a real hairdresser. It drives my MIL nuts and she frequently takes our daughters to get their bangs professionally trimmed. The boys just get the electric trimmer-all- over-cheapo hair cut. None of them seem to object--being home schooled, they are not as influenced by trends, which could make child rearing much more expensive for us.....

okay, I'm rambling....feel drowsy and sluggish from the cold.

take care everyone!

Maggie

Hi ladies! Emy, I hope to have #3. It is in His hands.

I'd love to see your workout log Briee. Has cutting your cardio back impacted you? I am LOVING TurboJam, so I am listening to my body. j

Speaking of my body, my neck is aching and popping. DH and I were in an accident 16+ years ago and had whiplash. My neck has bothered me ever since. 2 weeks ago tomorrow it popped and hadn't felt the same since. Now, I tingling down the back of my right arm and the ring & pinky fingers. I don't want the surgery DH had almost a year ago, that must have been a more serious wreck than we thought. I have a doctor's appt. tomorrow. I think I will go ahead and mention my cranky hips and knees... oh and my possible gallbladder problems. I should take a list so I remember it all. :)

Maggie, hope you feel better and bounce back from the cold.

Happy Birthday to Alexis, Max, and Mr. Bardric.

Hope everyone in Rita's path remains safe and sound.
