moms check in-time for a new post

Wendy congrats and welcome. You may want to also check the postpartum checkin since those moms have infants and we all have devlish toddlers now.
Autumn, Unfortunately, last time around trying to conceive lost its funness.

Shopaholic, it took us at least 6 mos to conceive Jory & Justin. We haven't used any contraceptives (except bfing) since Justin has been born & it's taken this long to conceive Justin. 8 mos really isn't that long. YAHOO on DH agreeing to number 2!!! That's HUGE! :D :D

Melanie, I am glad my period was a few days late , because for the first time we really discussed it. Hubby was really happy with the prospect of a new baby at this point. I went off the pill 4 months ago so for the first 2, used backup methods to detox from the pill. The good thing is I think I pinpointed when I am ovulating , around day 21, not day 14. Therefore we had no sex around ovulation, thus no pregnancy. The first time took 8 months, due to misplanning around my irregular periods. So , like I said, the good news, I can wear my new bikini all summer.

Have fun wearing your bikini. I actually just bought a preg swim suit. I never bought one the summer preg with Max. It is huge (as am I) and I would probably look better fully covered in a wetsuit.

Emy, I am sure you are not huge! Living on cape cod, i wore my maternity suit every weekend. Mine was from old navy and was actually comfortable. You will be happy you invested in a prego suit.

I told my husband that I'd like to get a tan this year, since we have a pontoon and everything. Brace yourselves ladies. This was his reply: "You're pregnancy, you need to keep yourself covered". Talk about fighting words!!!!!

Shopaholic, we lost the fun factor too... it was more like a science project! :) I will keep my fingers crossed.

Melanie, I don't know what is wrong with men! I will tell you to protect your skin though :D It is the nurse in me... I can't help myself. :)

Hope you ladies are well!

Melabie, I'll tell you what i tell my female clients. Men are just not as smart as women. They mean well, but often miss the boat with their comments.

Boy did HE miss the boat. Shop is right!! Sounds like a bipolar downswing type of comment to me. Keep being that supportive wife and get that old navy swimsuit purchased. Mel you look so great - I've seen pictures!! You probably carry like those women with "that cute little ball" on their tummies!!

I was getting a little jealous what with all you pregos....my best friend just had a baby about 4 days ago. Tyler was on the phone with her son and he heard them yell in the background "it's a boy". I was so excited and he's so cute......soooooooo......

I went out and bought a Chihuahua, not just one, but two. Actually I bought one and she didn't do too well on the health check and so I went to get a different one and then as I was driving home all I could think about was Jasmine's face and how I left her there and I drove back and bought her back too. So now I have twins, Jasmine and Rajah. They are darling. Now this was not just an impulse buy....I've wanted one all year, but my dh says, we don't need another dog. (We have Old English Mastiff's....5 to be exact). He didn't exactly say no, just we don't need another dog. So while he was away in Pennsylvania this past week....I took his advice and didn't buy another dog because we don't NEED one more....we needed two. He comes home in two days....any suggestions as to how to tell him????, he doesn't know yet. Boy are they cute. And they don't bark and they don't keep me up at night. :7 :7 :7 :7 :7
