Hello Everybody,

Well, DH and I survived our move - although it is far from truly over (we are prepping the other house to sell and still getting stuff out of storage). I'm just glad it's over and I have some time before Nico comes in Nov.

It looks like everybody is hanging in there ... that 38th week is now more like the 39th, right? Hopefully you will be done soon :)

Steph, reading your last update was like hearing myself talk. I also had a huge growth spurt and am feeling the same as you are - down to the swollen feet. I have mostly been using the stationary bike and doing light weights now. My nausea is really bad (go figure - none until week 18 and now it just gets worse every week!), so even the elliptical is sometimes a bit too much motion for my stomach. And I can't keep plain water down for anything - it has to be buffered with something acidic so I'm mixing it with lemon recharge or coke. Bleah!!! "Only" 12 more weeks to go ...

Okay, sorry for the rant - how is everybody else doing?

Hey, Mommies,

I am 2 days from my due date, and it seems like I'm going to be pregnant forever!!!!!! My belly area seems to be getting more and more crowded. I feel so squished! It's soooo time for this little girl to come out!

I haven't exercised since Saturday. I'm kind of hoping to save up some energy in hopes that I go into labor REALLY soon! I'm already 3 cm dialated and 75% effaced (as of last Wed). I have another doc appointment tomorrow so I'm hoping there's progress. Of course, the best progress would be to actually be in labor!!!

Eeek! I've been on maternity leave for about a week, and I really miss work. I never thought I'd say that!!!!

Hope all you ladies are hanging in there!

Chrissy

Moving is always so much fun! ;-) I'm glad you survived it. I'm a little over 22 wks along now, and I have my good days and bad days. I've definately slowed down, but I'm still trying! I can't believe how big I am already. I guess I am already stretched out from my last two. I'm not looking forward to seeing what my stomach looks like in a couple of more months. I feel like I am going to explode already. LOL!

The first trimester is almost over:) The nausea is better, now I need the strength to exercise. I've not exercised in weeks, hopefully I'll start today. Take care ladies
Suzette

Hey gang,

Chrissy - has your status changed yet? I'll keep my fingers crossed for you :)

Suzette - I find that any kind of exercise makes me feel much better - even when I am queasy. Good luck restarting a routine!

Take care, everybody.

Hey Mommies,

I hope everyone is feeling well. Chrissy, good luck to you, I'm praying that you go soon and have a super smooth delivery! Hang tough.

Arancini, Congrats on the move!!! I'm so jealous, we've been spending every extra free moment seeing homes in person or online. I can't wait to find our new home so I can get the nest together before our Sprout arrives in early November. I think we're exactly the same week, maybe that's why our aches/annoyances are similar. I'm just entering week 31 on Saturday (due Nov 10th). The swelling is a bit better now, I've upped my protein big time and try to keep it balanced with healthy carbs and lots of water. The soles of my feet still hurt but I'm feeling better overall. I hope you are too! (oh, I had a little pain scare one night, abdominal pain. I was fine but when I went in to see my midwife just 1 week after my regular visit I had gained yet another 2 pounds!!!! That's 10 in 6 weeks. Did anything like that happen to you? People still say I look small...but I sure don't feel it.)

University is back in session so I've been swamped at work, Fall semester is always the worst...super busy at work and at home. So I had a great long weekend away in Maine and the Cape. I will sorely miss all the boogie boarding I've been doing this summer. Ladies, the salt water, waves and sand in your toes can really make you feel AMAZING, you sort of forget you're pregnant!!! Well...until a boogie boarder or surfer seem headed your way -- then it's all about protecting your bump. :)

Alas, summer is over and it's time to get into a home and start nesting. Can't wait, I hope we find something soon!!

I hope everyone had a great summer!

Steph

Wow. Hang in there, Chrissy. It's almost time. I'll bet you can't wait to see the little one's face.

Yes, Steph is right, the university is back in session, and I too am swamped. I am trying to work out a reduction in my teaching schedule for the Spring. Our son is due Nov. 18, at which point I've planned to be finished teaching my Fall classes. With any luck, I won't have to start up again until mid-March, which should give me 3 1/2 months with the little guy.

I'd be curious what everyone's due date is. Is it just me, or do there seem to be several November births here? I am over 7 months as well, and yes I am looking round and large. The weight gain has been tremedous in the past two months. I've gained 21 pounds since the beginning of the pregnancy and most of that started around the end of month 5! I'm busting out of everything now. Sometimes I look at my belly and it seems to be bursting; I can't imagine how it can get any bigger, but egads I still have 2 months to go.

Hello Fellow Pregos!

Yes, Manmohini, it looks like 3 of us are going to have November babies :) I think Steph is due first (date?), then you and I are pretty close together. My due date is somewhere between the 20th and 24th. According to my luteal phase, I should be due closer to the 20th, and according to my doctor, the 24th is the big day.

Steph, I'm glad your pain scare was nothing ... yikes. I'll be 29 weeks this Saturday, so you are a little ahead of me. Luckily, I've stopped weighing myself since the move - I can't find my scale yet! I'm sure that I've gotten bigger though and I can feel my ribcage straining under my shoulder blades. I didn't think I looked that big until dh videotaped me ... maybe it was the angle he shot from, but I looked much bigger than I thought I was. My boobs have also gone from a full b to a d so far
 Good luck house hunting - I hope you find something soon so that you can try to relax for your final weeks.

Take care,
Arancini

Hey, ladies!

My status has changed . . .she's HERE! My doc induced labor on Wednesday, and after 7 1/2 hours of labor (40 min. of pushing), out popped little Ella. She was 8lbs 4oz and 21" long. Lots of dark, black hair. She's soooo cute. I just love her to death!!!! I can't believe how much my mommy instincts have come about. I just want to cuddle and protect her all the time!!!!

Good luck to all you ladies. I wish you all the best. I hope to see you all in the post-partum thread soon!

Chrissy

Chrissy that's awesome!! Welcome little Ella!! Beautiful name, and she sounds so precious -- you can hear the love and joy in your writing, so cool. I'm happy she's here and your birth story is a relatively short one. Just 40 minutes of pushing - yer a champ!

Enjoy your time with Ella and we'll look for your posts on the post-partum lists...and maybe we'll see some photos too. :)

Manmohini and Arancini, you're right I'm due first (Nov 10th). It's cool that we're all so close together, it's reassuring to hear what you're both going through, it really helps.

Manmohini, it's great that you'll be able to wrap up your classes and exit...you have impeccable timing. I bet they're impressed with that, it's pretty convenient to be out during the holidays and where I work the first month and a half of the year is intercession, so it's a dead time anyway. I'm pretty happy with my timing too, though I don't teach so it wouldn't matter too much. It's just so nice to be home for the holidays. I hope to take about the same amount of time off.

I'd love to hear what the other due dates are too. It's fun to follow everyone's progress.

Have a good weekend Ladies!

Steph

Congratulations, Chrissy. You're an inspiration to the rest of us pregnant ladies.

Let's compile a list of due dates to see where everyone is in their process. Here's the preliminary list:

Nov. 10--Steph
Nov. 18-23--Manmohini (Doc says 18; my calendar says 23)
Nov. 20--Arancini

Any more November babies? What about October, December, January, February, March, etc. Let's hear your due dates ladies, and I'll make a list.
Manmohini

Wow Chrissy - Congratulations!!! Ella sounds adorable. It also sounds like you had a dream delivery (40 minutes of pushing - I hope I am that lucky!).

Enjoy your new daughter and keep us posted until we can join you on the post-partum thread :)

Take care,
arancini
