Becky - I saw where Conni was doing that..... I remembered that Cathe addressed this back-to-back weight w/o in the Butts and Guts rotation thread ... here's what she said.....

Hi Cathe-Convert! This is not a heavy weight rotation. This
rotation focuses more on repetitive lower body conditioning
and endurance. The high cardio and high repetition will keep
your muscles from gaining an abundance of size or strength
and rather condition and tone them quite well. But if at any
time you feel too fatigued to do a workout the following day,
either make it an off day or train muscles that aren't
feeling overly fatigued on that day. For example, you can
switch Muscle Max to Sunday and make Saturday your off day.

I think I will see what GS Legs does to my legs and if I am only mildly sore tomorrow, I'll go ahead with ME. If I have major DOMS, then I switch the days. I want to follow the rotation as closely as possible, there must be a method to her madness.

Hello Ladies,

My toothache is better for now. I know I need to call the denist before it comes back. I just finished doing ctx upperbody. Later I am doing leaner legs and a run. Still a bit nauseated from the medicine I took yesterday.

Becky-A massive cooking day is something I only dream of. I just don't cook often sisnce I live alone. My idea of cooking is baking chicen and sweet potatos.
Wendy-I hope you get all your laundry done so you can come do mine :)

Jane-How is your daughter? Is she all better from the migraine?

I love that same milk too. Actually forgot about it for awhile and just getting ff milk. LOL!

Well I don't think I need to go to fitday today and count my cals/protein intake, carb/fats. I think I am going to be up 3000 when it is all said and done. I have to help repair the worn out muscles of mine by feeding them, right? Might as well have a friggin' feast while I am at it!! LOL! The food is all good though, you all should know that about me by now.

I was stressed last week so last week it is good that you didn't come by then...it would have just added to your stress.

I am sorry to hear that you are stressing. Have you had much to eat today? That will make you feel better, Terri. Eat for me too, I need the cals...please?

I tell you what, you can come by tomorrow and we can go hike up that mountain together behind me. Been getting a real itch to go up there. Cleaning and mowing keeps me tied down. Pathetic, huh? LOL!

I would love to hike up that mountain...too bad I don't live near you :) I haven't ate much today. Ya know I am sick of baked chicken and sweet potatoes. I need to come up with some new ideas! Those pumpkin muffins that Missy posted a recipe for last week sound really good. Baking them however does not!

That is what I just had...chicken and more chicken for dinner too. I grilled the chicken though and had it with a salad. I have been eating lots of sweet potatoes though so I am getting a bit tired of them. Do you know if they mash up well like regular mash potatoes?

I wish my DH was a sweet potato fan. I never buy them b/c he doesn't care for them and I am not one to bother making potatoes for just me...x(

Terri~I hope you feel all better soon and if you send me a plane ticket :p I'd love to come out there and do your laundry! LOL I hear Colorado is gorgeous! :)

I did a couple loads of laundry, mopped the bathroom floor, vacuumed the computer/laundry/work out room (LOL) & my bedroom & did general clean up duty in the kitchen (dishes, wiping down counters, etc.)....now I can relax for a few before I have to get ready to head up to MIL's for dinner. :9
 
Im alive! Im alive!:) Ah, wasn't that bad.PLB always gets me the next day.I feel like a zombie now though.I had a headache when I started and its still there. Its not a bad one, its just an annoying headache.
I am debating having a nap b/c I have to work again tonight.

Charlotte- I don't think I will ever beable to eat 3000 cals and not have to put double doors in my front entrance:) Lucky dog!

Wendy- I here ya on the fur.Its crazy in our house and I didn't think 2 could be much worse then one...what was I smoking that day?

Terri- Gald you tooth ache is leaving.I had a nice bit of work done on my teeth this year.I still need a crown on one of my teeth.Its more annoying then anything b/c food gets trapped in the space.Oh well!

Nancy-Im glad the wedding went good!We would love to see some pic's!

With your new rotation, you could! LOL! I don't know, I hope it will be working for me...kind of scary eating all the cals cuz I am feeling just alittle bloated right now. I don't know if that would be normal. Still TTOM though, but should be passed that stage by now. Well if my Omron says 50% then I know I am not doing something right!

Hey everybody!! Just peeping in... yes you can mash sweet potatoes..... better yet, cream them in a stand mixer or with a hand mixer.... add some Smart Beat margarine, Splenda, and cinnamon. YUM....


Also..... for a change of pace, leave out the cinnamon and add some drained crushed pineapple and finely chopped pecans.... or... fold in some mandrin oranges.

I also have a recipe for a sweet potato casserole if anyone is interested.

Your culinary tip for the afternoon....:+

You are such a wonderful person! Thanks so much for the tip and inspiration for good healthy food! I have my apples and pie pumpkins and tomorrow or Thursday I will make some delicious smoothies that you recommended.

MMMMMMMM Jane, I've had the sweet potatoes creamed with the blender with splenda and cinnamon but will have to try it with the pinapple and pecans. Sounds SINFUL!!!!!!
I LOVE sweet potatoes and no one else in the house does, so I don't get them often either. :( I need to start treating myself! I'm worth it! Oh wait......that was a hair product. ;)

I had the fantastic baked apple smoothie this morning and now am having the chocolate mint. ACK! I guess that is going overboard. But the apple one was my breakfast , so maybe it's not so bad. ??

DH brought home sandwiches for our lunch and I was proud of him. He went to McDonalds and got the premium chicken sandwiches.....for us both and got them grilled and got the basic one (not blt or ranch) because he figured they would have the least "glop" on them! And he was right. I would have ordered mine w/o mayo, but that's okay because I scraped it off and added a bunch of fresh spinach to mine , and ate grapes with it, for a semi-healthy fast food lunch. :)
Since I am having smoothie #2 now, I'll just have a salad or a bowl of oatmeal for my dinner.

Becky - your lunch sounds seasonable. I would have done what you did. One of my hobbies is cooking and taking not-so-healthy recipes and turning them into healthier versions. I am experimenting all the time much to my husband's dismay. He wishes I would fix "real food".... translation - deep fried, fried, and fried again.... I'm trying to keep him alive though sometimes I wonder why?:+ Just kidding!!

Becky, give me that recipe for that choc mint smoothie again if you don't mind, I thought I'd wrote it down.

Well onto GS Legs... I think I'm a little scared!!:p

The chocolate mint smoothie recipe

1 cup of milk (I use chocolate soy)
1 scoop of protein powder (again, I use chocolate)
1T. instant coffee (optional but really good!)
1 york peppermint patty OR 1 to 2 T. chocolate mint syrup
2T. FF powdered milk (optional, but sometimes I add it for extra calcium)
ice cubes (up to a cup)

Okay and today I confess I added a single serving pkg of Oreo thin crisps (nabisco 100 calorie snack).....it was AWESOME!
Can you tell I am PMS'ing in the WORST way and canNOT get enough chocolate??!!!:p
 
Hey ladies,

I just got back from the doctors and I finally got this darn boot off!:p :7 It feels good to walk in my sneakers again. But this isn't the end, cause physical therapy will determine and work me up to more vigorous exercises. So it will still take a while. But by golly I don't have the boot! although it still hurts in my shoes, I will have to be sure to walk heel toe instead of ball of my foot first. I had to learn the hard way when I went up my stairs a while ago and went with the ball of my feet first like anyone else. Well I have to go heel first on the stairs. Doesn't that suck!


Well enough about me, how are you ladies doing? You ladies have been busy today. I have got to read all of your posts and see what's been going on. Hope everyone is doing great!:7
