Moment of Truth October 18

Awwwww Charlotte--

I'm not a mother so I really don't have any great words of wisdom for you. I can tell you that I was a bit of a wild child growing up and I am such a straight arrow now I'm almost unrecognizable to myelf--LOL!

You seem like an excellent mother. I think you'll figure this out in time. Your daughter knows how much you love her. At the end of the day, she won't want to disappoint you.

Michele, my sister is the same way!!!

She used to be a little trouble maker...well, your average teen I guess...lol...worse than I ever was though! Anyway, then when she graduated from college she was the career woman commuting to and eventually LIVING IN NYC and NEVER thought to go to Church!!! Now she has done SUCH a 180 it's crazy when I think back to what she used to be like. lol She's been a SAHM mom for almost 12 years now living in the country, attending Church EVERY Sunday and beyond, making home cooked meals for her family practically every night, sewing Halloween costumes for her kids, etc, etc. The list goes on and on!...It used to be that the girl could hardly boil water for herself! LOL Amazing how a person can change so much, isn't it?

I, on the other hand...haven't changed much. I've always been a middle of the road type of person. Never been really bad but never been an angel either. I am still that way and I like it so I'm not changing! :+ :p }( ;)

Wendy,

That's so interesting, isn't it? My younger sister is probably more like you. Her temperament tends to be on more of an even keel--I tend to be passionate about things. I was definitely a troublemaker as a teenager. I was pretty mouthy. Actually, I cringe a little bit when I remember certain things I've said and done.

I think I'm still probably a little bit of a trouble maker;-). I think what's changed the most about me is that I'm now fairly conservative in my views on things where I used to be liberal. My sister tends to be more liberal.

Michele

Oh my gosh, Michele you are me! That is why I like you so much!!! :p I was wild and liberal, VERY liberal, and now I am sooooooooo conservative and very strait - like an arrow. There isn't much I didn't do or haven't tried. Now I look back in horror at what I have said and done in my past. I just hope that I am more compassionate because of all I have been through and am able to reach out and understand others.

I guess when you have been crazy, you get it out of your system and you see what is really important in life and what matters most. You learn from your mistakes. And not to mention that you have your past to keep you humble!!!

Hey Charlotte--
Ive been AWOL for a bit. Tending to my ailing dad but lurking in the shadows. Feel free to email me hon and/or pm.

I'm sorry for hijacking your thread here ladies. But charlotte and I have talked before.

I think the girls have all given great insight on this issue.

As a mom of three teens, I am feeling like the bad guy--- but I also am sticking to my guns regarding a few issues. At times we are at each other's throats and other times they feel they can be open and honest with me. Thankfully its more open and honest rather than fighting. *Knock on wood*

Take care hon

Alrighty...I am back. I am sitting at home and waiting for my MIL to get here so I can cut her hair and have it done :) My plan was to do BC and 5 min runs after each cardio but my energy level is getting pretty low now.But I did go for an hour long walk today, and I did shoulders and abs. SO today wasn't a total right off.
Nothing new here.DH has an appt at the bank tomorrow so hoepfully we will know more his business venture by then.
Oh...shes here
Lori:)

Anyone on? Charlotte, how are you doing sweetie?

Kath, drop on in any time!!! :)

Lori, how did her hair turn out?

Michele, are you saying that I am still wild? Do I act wild to you? DO I LOOK WILD TO YOU???? :+ :p }( :D

Wendy, babe, are you around?

I think that we all spend to much time on this forum!!!

Well, I just finished a run with my sister. We did 2.25 miles together and then I did about 12 more minutes, so maybe an extra mile and a half. I am running with her again on Thursday. This is my 14 year old sister, not the one that has my nephew. Brit plays soccer and I am conditioning her for indoor this winter. Isn't that cool? A mom of 3 training and whipping a fit teenager! How cool is that?

Missy

Hey Missy.

Just got back from visiting a friend after dinner. Now I have go give Joey a bath before his last bottle (and bed)!

I'll be back a bit later!

TTFN!:)

Hey girls, I am around. DH is playing hockey so I will be sitting pretty until I get sleepy or I may stay home and wait for him. I am watching the biggest loser now but it is on a commercial break.

Missy- How many sisters do you have? My hair as been a mess today.I have had a ball hat on my head all day and my hair in a braid.I think i will workout early tomorrow morning and I will actually do my hair.I may leave it curly one day this week just to see how short it is! IM SCARED!!!!!!!!;( ;( It will relax in a couple of weeks and won't seem so short.

Lori:)

I'm back...

My little guy is bathed, fed and sound asleep now. :)

Dh is watching a hockey game. YUCK! :p I am doing laundry...another YUCK!:p LOL

I found a baby's first Christmas ornament that I need to order online as well as another personalized ornament that I can put all of our names on (including CLYDE!!!). I also have to order a house-warming gift for the friends we went to visit. They moved into a new house about a month ago...DH has seen it b/c he helped them move but this is the first I saw it. GORGEOUS brand new 4 bedroom house. They have a TON more room than they could possibly need! I am sooo jealous!:p

Gonna go peek at the other threads and then go order my stuff. I'll be back when I'm done! :)
