Moment of Truth/Fall Check-in Wed. Sept 28

Wendy- I had that workout done AGES ago! I think you were just starting when I was finished.I got no time to be sitt'in around on my all day, play'in with a baby:) :7 I then did the rest of my workout.It was a good workout to.Day 2 no injuries!

I must go get a shower and get ready for dinner.We are going to my in-laws for dinner:9

Alright lovely ladies, I am done with work for today, now onto ME and if I am feeling particularly strong today (with emphasis on if), I may try to do the upper body w/o from the BB Timesaver which isn't long but it hits all those upper body parts again.

Lori - have a nice dinner with the in-laws

Becky - did you get all that cooking/baking done you were helping your mom with?

Kali - let me know about those jobs... I'm so glad you are finding lots of opportunities and will be able to pick which one will fit your life best now.

Terri - hang in there...

Hey ladies,

I just got home and did well with my foot at work. I still have twinges in the back of my heel, but physical therapy will help that. I am going to do LG's floorwork twice with coremax.



Terri- Hope you get to feeling better! After saturday it will all be over with. Hang in there!:)

Just finished with ME... and whew... the legs were trembling I guess from fatigue from GS Legs yesterday but I finished all reps in all sets....

The upper bodyx( ... let's just say I was a hurting unit on those biceps!! I stuck with the 20# BB until into the crazy 8's and then I had to switch to 16# DBs. I finished them but I was in some serious pain.

Didn't go straight into the TimeSaver upper body because I was literally jerking when I finished the upper body on ME. Next month I do want a solid lower body w/o so I won't lose my gains but I'm definitely adding upper body on my own if Cathe doesn't come up with something like that. I have lost some endurance.

Gone to feed the horse, then feed myself!
 
Well, Joey is napping again. :+ I took him for a walk before. It was windy again but not as bad most of the time and he seemed to deal w/it okay today.

I finished washing the kitchen curtains but have to finish re-hanging them. I gave up trying to get the stupid blinds down and did the best I could with windex to clean them still on the windows.

I just ate a morning star chick pattie on ww bread with some lf mayo. :9 I have to enter into fitday yet to see how many more cals I need to rack up with dinner and another snack if needed...I hope it's not much more than 500 cause I don't know if I'll be able to fit it all in! :eek: LOL

Lori~Enjoy your dinner at MIL's but also remember to think about what you are eating!;)

Jane~Do you find yourself struggling to make your cals on the "big" days? As excited as I get and as much as I love that I can really EAT on these days, I still find it difficult to get all the cals in! :(

So are you ladies considering the tank top rotation for October depending, ofcourse, upon what Cathe has in store??

Wendy.. I never have problems getting my calories in, I usually have to start trimming down when I enter my food the night before. If you want, I'll give you a run down of what I am eating today and the calorie count. I love to eat!!:p
 
Hey Wendy,

I was supposed to do the entire coremax but decided to do only one segment, but went ahead and did powerhour abs. Boy that is a burner! So I just finished LG floorwork twice and the abs. I will do my 30 mins. of bike tonight. Man my legs are shaking!}(


I hate I punked out on doing the entire coremax, but at least I did something!:p

I have only ever done ONE of the premixes ONE time! lol I figure I need to be able to do the originals well first since the premixes are even HARDER! Why didn't she put a wimp's premix in there? :p
 
I'm with Jane and I just LOVE TO EAT!!! :p Nobody asked me, I just thought I'd jump in !~!

I just watched Biggest Loser while on the bike. Rode a challenging course for 45 minutes!

No, Jane, the baking didn't get done. Actually I made 4 pans of cornbread and then checked with my mom cuz they weren't rising much. Hers weren't either, so we bought something else and are starting over in the morning. So tomorrow I'll make 6 pans of corn bread, bake a cake and mix up all the cole slaw.
Today I made a mashed potato casserole for Fridays birthday dinner for my daughter. I love that recipe because you can make it days ahead and then just pop it in the oven and heat it up!
Still have her birthday cake to make as well.....
I guess tomorrow will be the busy day!
 
Okay Becky...I GOTTA KNOW...what is MASHED POTATO CASSEROLE!??! Just the name of it has my mouth watering!!! :9

I love to eat too! It's just sooo much easier for me when it's high cal, fatty stuff! }( }( }(

I have tried it 3 times and only completed 2segments.and half of last one. I still haven't been able to complete that third one. Still trying! Powerhour was pretty tough, especially when I haven't done it in a while.

Hey Becky, Happy Birthday to your daughter. She'll be 20 right?

It sounds like you have a lot of cooking to do!! That mashed potato casserole sounds good and convenient. If you have it on your computer already, would you e-mail it to me? Can you tell by now, I collect recipes!:p
 
Mashed potato casserole is a family favorite. My kids ask for it for every holiday or special meal. I love it because it can be made days ahead......here's the recipe:

6 pounds potatoes, peeled, cooked, drained and mashed
1 cup sour cream
8oz cream cheese
5 T. butter
1/2 cup milk
Onion salt
garlic salt (original recipe calls for 3 tsp. I think that's too much and use between 1 and 2 tsp. That is TOTAL, onion & garlic salt together)
salt and pepper to taste

Mix ingredients into prepared mashed potatoes, I mix it all on high with my stand mixer. It will be a little on the liquidy side, that's good. Pour it into a buttered dish. Cover and refrigerate.
Heat in oven for around an hour at 350 degrees.
Serves 12

EASY to lighten up by using ff or light sour cream, cream cheese and milk...

Thanks Becky... I have a mac&cheese recipe that you make the day before and refrigerate overnight that has cottage cheese, cheddar cheese, sour cream.... it is one of those comfort food things. I submitted it to Shelly for the cookbook but I'll attach it to an e-mail and send it to you.

ok That Apple pie smothie sounds good so I must finally make one. I should stay here and rest but I am going to the store and get me some apples! :)

I hope your feeling alittle bit better now. I know you won't feel better until the tooth issue is resolved. I had a cavity that was filled once, but it was a deep cavity and I ended up getting a root canal. It is terrible when you have that kind of pain so I will be praying for you that the pain goes away soon and that you get alot of rest...you will feel like superwoman later.

I don't know what is up with me. I am just not feeling energetic the past few days. I feel so wiped out. I think it might be that Fall is here now and the days are not as bright as a summer day usually is. I got to snap out of it. I worked my bi's and tri's today with Cathe's slow and heavy series. I went way lower with bicep curls to switch things up from my usual heavy lifting and stayed the same with tri work. Tomorrow I will concentrate on shoulders, back and chest. I don't have much else going on other than an auction so I will get in a good workout because I need to. I will mow just 2 more times and that will be it then I will have more time to workout. I don't like anyone helping me with mowing. I insist I do it. Don't ask. \
I have to haul trash tomorrow to the dump again. No trash service here. I still can't believe we don't have trash service. Gosh, I feel like such a hick.

Well I just finished off 2 protein bars, one after the other and I am still hungry. Getting alittle too late for me to keep stuffing my face so I think I will be off to bed early tonight.
