Hey ladies.

I'm awake x( so I figured I'd start us off for the day!
I went to bed early tonight & this is what I get for it! I woke up about 2 hours ago & have not been able to fall back to sleep! If DH wasn't asleep in the very next room I'd work out! }( LOL

Today is cardio & maybe some abs...I have to see if I need to do any abs yet this week or not. My goal is to get in approximately 60 mins worth of abs per week no matter how it's split up cause I know it will be split into a MINIMUM of 3/20 min. sessions/days so that's fine. I just did SB in full as a part of yesterday's circuit work out...Maybe I'll do Step Works again but this time I delve further into it! Things that make you go HMMMM! LOL

Charlotte~~so did you find out any good scoop on your DD's love life? }( Have you decided what LB work you'll be doing today?

Jane~~so what's on the menu for breakfast today?:9

Becky~~when are you going to be eating that YUMMY mashed potato casserole? }(

Lori~~which work out(s) will you be doing today? }(

Kali~~have you made any plans for the weekend yet?:)

Nancy~~can't wait to see wedding pics!:)

Terri~~are you feeling any better?? I hope so although I know it won't be 100% until after saturday...that's got to be frustrating.x(

Hi Wendy-I am up too. I hate when I can't sleep. I know it is stress and feeling not so good keeping me up. I hope you ge back to sleep soon Wendy! Not sure what I will get done today as far as working out goes. maybe bi's and tri's. That shouldn't affect me to badly. Kali I know your DB said no cardio but I wonder if weights is ok...

Will chat more in the morning :)

I wish I was still sleeping;( I was tired last night around 10 and then when I crawl into bed....ah, not so tired anymore:) But still TO sleepy to do anything....if you know what I mean;-) Didn't have enough energy for THAT!:7

Wendy - Beleive it or not, today is just a run and only what I can fit in today.Nothing crazy b/c I am short on time.I am working the day shifts all weekend.So there won't be any long workouts on my schedule.Look out next week!:) Only 2 days of work and no relatives around....woo hoo.....my a$$ will be getting smaller by the minute!:+

How is everyone else? As usual, I didn't get to catch up on yesterdays thread.By the time I got home, DH had invited a friend over for a couple of drinks and his wife (who is my friend) was going through my closet to see of she could find anything to wear for tonight.
My SIL wants to go out tonight for a couple of "swallies":9 A sling is my favorite drink but now that DH is not working with a beer company anymore...that means I have to pay for me booze....WTH? Not so sure Im into that:) I could do so mush more with $5 a drink....Im being a tight wad,aren't I?

Anyway, I should browse the forum and see if there were any fights yesterday that I didn't get in on...hahaha!:) See if anyone wants a piece of me!
Oh, last night dinner was awesome but I didn't eat alot.I can't eat big meals anymore, my stomach just doesn't allow it.They had steak,huge shrimp,salad,brussetta,and little baby potatoes.I ate all 7 shrimp, (they were shrimp,do I need to say more?)a tiny bit of steak,1 1/2 potatoe and 1 piece of my bread.Everyone was looking at me saying, your not done already are you? But I was seriously getting full.Sometimes I wish I could lick my plate clean.:9

Good Morning Early Birds -and everyone who straggles in later! :)

I thought I would be the first one here, or possibly Jane (fellow early bird) but you guys are up and at it EARLY this morning!
I woke up just after 4.........too early , but at least I slept all night.

Today on the rotation is the new low impact step plus a 30 minute run.
I'll do the run inside on the treadmill since its only 40 degrees this morning (WHAT??:eek: ACK!), and I won't have time later when it warms up.
Jane, what are you subbing for the step? I have it, but was thinking of maybe doing lowmax w/o blasts........you think that's an option?? I'm not sure if the time on each is close to the same......

Wendy, the mashed potato casserole is for dinner tonight. I'm not planning on eating the meal though, really. I don't have trouble passing up most meats and tonights is too greasy and fatty for me (plus the gravy!) and I KNOW what I put into the potato casserole , so I can pass that up too.....the green beans I am cooking with hamhocks and cooking most of the day (goodbye vitamins) , so I might just make myself a huge chicken salad or something........now the cake and ice cream will probably be my splurge. That I don't want to pass up! I'm making a homemade caramel apple bundt cake, and it will still be fattening but I"ll replace the oil with cinnamon applesauce. Also bought caramel swirl ice cream and want to find cinnamon ice cream too today. That sounds good to me.:9
If I was being very very good, I'd have a baked apple smoothie in it's place, but I don't think I will tonight!}(

I'm crampy this morning and drinking raspberry herb tea and downed my advil , so I hope it kicks in soon!!
Today I'm baking 2 cakes , possibly THREE (one for my daughters bday, then my new SIL called last night and wants to come over and make her a cake too to surprise her and he wants my help, then I am making one for my mom's big dinner as well....a spice cake!) Also need to run a couple errands and clean my house. I wonder if the day is long enough??

Sorry I rambled........a lot of thinking out loud here....oops!

I just finished my workout. After I left this thread I looked at A-Jocks new rotation and I saw circuit max and I thought hmmmmmmmmm!Thanks for the song wendy, by the way, its gonna be stuck in my head all day! So I did that workout.I haven't done that one in ages and my house still hasn't gotten any bigger! Still no room for the shuffles.I have to turn side on or I end up in the other room.

Good morning Becky, Wendy, Lori...

LOL... I'm here Becky. I didn't get up at 3:45 this morning to work early, two days in a row of that is enough for me! My clock went off at 5:00 but I didn't crawl out until 5:15. It is 61 here this morning, so it was a bit nippy at the barn. I know 40 degree weather is right around the corner though.

Wendy - for breakfast, I am having oatmeal with chopped pecans and banana in it, Egg Beaters and 1 pc of WW toast, coffee. YUM.. I love the pecan/banana combination in the oatmeal.

Becky - I was subbing LowMax combos for the w/o today but since I did that substitution last Saturday, I changed my mind. I have the new Step Blast/SJP DVD and there is a premix on Step Blast for combos 1, 2, 3 only running about 45 minutes. I'm doing that, plus the run.

I'll have to pop over to the Ask Cathe forum and see if she or anybody answered my questions on substitutions for S&H and CTX.

Hey Kali, Charlotte, Terri (hope you are feeling better), Shannon, Nancy, Jessica, Maria, Lori, Kim... I'm also afraid I forgot somebody!

I'm glad you slept a little longer today Jane. I know you were tired yesterday.

Okay call me copycat. I like your stepblast idea. I haven't done that one in forever and have never done the premix. and I LOVE step blast!!!!! I think I'll do the exact same thing. Your breakfast sounds yummy too. And it's 39 here this morning, so I would LOVE to have 61 ! This is our first morning this cold and dd is walking around complaining. ME TOO! BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
 
I think that is a good sub also Becky and it will break up the monotony of LowMax for us. LowMax is fun but it feels like I've done it to death this month.

I just wish it would rain here. We got a very small amount of rain Monday, but no rain in over two months. The ground in my shrub/flower beds around my house are cracked!! The ground is sooooo dry!!

Going to get ready to sit down and work. TGIF!!! I am so ready for the weekend!!!

I woke up later than usual this morning, so I will be in a hurry. but wanted to check in and tell everyone good morning. Will probably do chest and back today because I didn't yesterday. PT made my foot so sore last night that I had to lay down and take motrin. But it feels better this morning.


Sorry you ladies can't sleep this morning. I thank god it is friday!

My Goodness! I feel like the last one coming downstairs in the morning after everyone has been up for hours!!

It is chilly here too! BRRRRRR is right! Quit sending down those arctic blasts Lori! LOL!

I saw the rotation, and I ordered all the GS's and SB/SJP! So I'm in!!! I definatley am going to add cardio too Terri.

So are we all doing it? I skimmed the thread last night after my meeting and saw Jane, Becky, Terri, Kim, Wendy. :7:7 I know Lori is on some kind no survivors rotation but maybe she and Charlotte and Nancy and Jessica and Shannon will want to join in too. Everyone can tweak it for themselves.
COME ON LADIES it'll be fun!

I'm going to do LowMax. I don't feel like it either, but I know those blasts are what's helping my legs slim down. I'm going to do the step combos first tho and then the blasts for a change.

Terri I'll call my DB in a little while and ask him about the weights.

Wendy I'm going on a retreat w/ some friends tomorrow until Sunday. It's a spiritual retreat for sober women. It'll be nice to just get away.

PLEASE send "GET THAT JOB!" vibes this morning around 10:30. I have my interview at Bed Bath and Beyond then. I feel really good about it and hope it works out.

I'm pressed for time so I have to go get my w/o done. I will be back later. Sorry I haven't been able to really talk to any of you guys. It's just been so hectic the last few days. I'm here tho.

Oh Ladies...I'm gonna be runnin' on fumes today...I didn't actually fall back to sleep until 5 am! x(

I'm gonna drink my java, eat some cereal and after it digests a bit I'm gonna jump into my w/o hoping it will WAKE ME UP and give me ENERGY to get through the day!!! Let's hope that it works! ;)

Becky- Those cakes sound awesome! I can easily pass up the meat and stuff to but when it comes to cake...Im in!

Jane- Ive never tried pecans and banana in my oatmeal.I assume you put it in after its cooked? I can't imagine what a banana looks like after its boiled.:)

Well, I am at work now and its a ugly day.But a great day to be alive:) Its cloudy and windy.I was thinking about running out later and picking up a new hair straightner.I saw a awesome Paul Mitchell one yesterday.I get it regular cost b/c I was a hairdresser so my cost is $129.Which is still expensive but I sold my new sneaks to a friend the other day b/c they were a little to tight so she gave me $100 for them.And I sold my old hair straigtner b/c I loaned it out for a friend to try and she never returned it:-( So now she is buying it off of me. Now I am rambling......:7 :eek: :)

When I got out of the shower DH rolled over and said "Uh, I don't know how you do it (and he was mubbling,barely even words) getting out of bed at 5:30 when the alarm goes off" And I was thinking, this is a little nuts isn't it? Not only do we work out, which is more then most people do, but we will even deprive ourselves of sleep just to fit it in. I think we are all CRAZY!!!!:) Oh..the price of looking good!

Becky~You are one STRONG woman if you are able to turn down all of that YUMMY food even after you spent all of that time cooking it! I would opt to turn down the sweets and eat the mashed potatoes! :9 }( :9

Lori~So will you join us for the October rotation Lori or are you set on the rotation you are doing??

Kali~Glad to hear that you are doing something nice for yourself. You deserve it! I think I will put the Gymstyles on my Christmas list along with the Rythmic Step DVD and one of the High Step dvds! }( }( }( I was also considering putting the high step on there but I will ATLEAST ask for a set of risers for my full size step since I don't have any yet....Oh and here you go!!!....TONS of <<<<get that job>>>> vibes comin' your way, sweetie!:)
 
Lori - I do put all that extra stuff in after it is cooked. I use the microwave method to cook my oatmeal.
 
Kali - GET THAT JOB vibes coming your way!! I feel like you'll get it!!! Also, I haven't responded to the news of DH going to Iraq. I see that it is a good opportunity and where both of you would have mixed feelings about it. I'll keep you and him in my prayers for his safety.
 
Jane - When I have oatmeal I do it in the microwave to.You really have to be careful that it does boil over though, hey? I usually stop mine every 30 sec just to stir it.

Kali - If I am cold...everyone else should be cold to!Its not a very nice day here either.But I think tomorrow is suppose to be nicer:)

Wendy - Love to join you but I think I am going to stick to what I am doing and see what happens.Maybe in Nov though. I don't even really know what everyone is talking about.Did I miss something yesterday? Is this the Oct rotation that Cathe posted?:)

I just finished my cottage cheese/yogurt and 1 tsp flax seed.:9 Still hungry though.

Just saw the rotation.Now I know what you gals are talking about,Im in the loop again:) Its looks like a really good rotation but I have to do what I had planned on doing.My plan was to post pics in 1 monthes time.I may do this rotation in Nov though:)
