Thanks Jennifer! This is being treated as a runaway case, but the family has a case number with the Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Jacob's mom is confident he didn't run away.

Forgive me for asking, but could this be a kidnapping as a result of a custodial dispute? I'm praying for his safe return and thinking of his family. Please keep us posted with any developments.

Forgive me for asking, but are the parents divorced and separated and, if so, could his father have taken him in a custody dispute?

People always ask why I never had children. A big chunk of the reason is because of fear of this very thing. I'm praying for his safe return and thinking of his mom.

No forgiveness necessary. The parents aren't together. My friend is Jacob's stepmom..... so no Jacob's dad doesn't have him.
