misc. comments about be a Cathe fan

A few miscellaneous comments about being a Cathe fan:

Did you know there is such a thing as "Cathe mintues"? When I am working out and keeping track of how many minutes I have put in, I separate "Cathe minutes" from the rest of the time. Cathe minutes are worth more!

I have been sprinting, running, and walking lately. I do this only in the spirit of cross training and trying to shock my system. I don't care much for it. In my head though I can hear all of Cathe's comments urging me on. For example "just a little longer, your gonna make it".

I always hear "work hard now" in my left ear. Clear as a bell. Like she was in the room. Honest!

When I'm running and having a tough time, I think of when Cathe says, "we're going to make it and so are you" from IMAX - it always motivates me to keep going! :)

Isn't it funny how we all hear different things? Robin, I just finished 3 weeks of S&H and don't remeber ANY da-da-da's!! Now, you have me curious! A famous quote from Cathe:"It's gonna be a gooood one!" Also, "Give yourself a pat on the back IF you can get your hand back there!" I think one of my favorites is when she says, "Now, I KNOW you all are zero-ing in on my form!" Just the motivation when I need it as my form is starting to get a bit shaky at that point also. Do the BEST we can do, right???

This is too funny! I just went to Yosemite and climbed Half Dome. I thought my legs would never make it. During the really steep inclines I kept saying to myself "You go down, half-way up, down, half-way up, down, half-way up, down, all the way up," just like Cathe says in Leaner Legs. I thought, "No part of this hike is as brutal as those low end squats. I was right! I used several Cathe mantras during that 9 hour climb. Others that kept me going were, "You're gonna make it!" and "We're working!" Besides helping me with my physical and cardiovascular strength, Cathe's workouts have given me mental focus and confidence. And Imax keeps me humble.
