MIS Question

I bought the Powerhour DVD and didn't do very well with Powerhour, so decided to try MIS. I love this workout! It's amazing that you can give all of your muscle groups a really good workout in only 75 minutes. I like that it's slower than Powerhour, but faster than Pure Strength, and not as time consuming as Pure Strength or Slow and Heavy.

I would like to divide MIS into 2 parts for weekdays. Does it break down in half to upper and lower body? If I want the two sections to be about the same length, where should the abs go?

I am thinking that a good rotation might be 3x per wk, which would take 6 days. Thanks!

I think the abs should go with the upper body. You could pop them into the lower body too, no harm in that.

Even better, after lower body you could add an ab section from one of the CTX workouts that contains more back/core work, such as from Kickbox or Power Circuit.

I just did MIS upper body only, the other day, with abs. It was great.

Another nice upper body segment is the one from BodyMax. It also has abs at the end. I'm so compliant by the end of these I just sit down and do those ab routines as I'm told.

Connie-
are the ab sections you recommend all on Ab Hits? Maybe I'll get that, as the ab routine in MIS looks dull.
Thanks.

Nancy,
Yes, they are! If you have Ab Hits then check out the ab section from Slow and Heavy Triceps and Biceps. It's great.

By the way, Power Hour is easier once you do what I do: lower your weights, do the lunges without any weight and give yourself a prize if you only skip 8 reps, take long pauses between segments!

It gets easier!
