mini step

FOrgot this question. I was wondering what everyone uses for stepups at home. My step only has two risers so it doesnt go high enough. I noticed Cathe has a ministep. Are those available?

ministep

unfortunately, the ministep that Cathe uses was kind of a trial thing for the Step Co. but they never marketed it (which IMO was too bad). BUT the instructions for making them are available. You basically cut a step down, glue it together and put the top back on. I did it recently, although it may not be as pretty as Cathe's (wasn't very particular with reattaching the mat) but it works great and I love it. Others also use rubbermaid step stools or chairs, but for me this was stable and I can change the height easily. Erin F has the instructions and she emailed them to several people if you decide you want them!

I use the Rubbermaid toolbox, and I'm happy with it. I got it at Target for around $17-$20, can't remember exactly how much. I guess it's a combination toolbox, and stepstool? The top is rough, like the top of the Reebok step, so you don't slip while standing on it. I use that as is for the PS SLA part where we do step ups, and for the sit-and-stand squats, I simply place it on top on my step, which is set at 6".

Hope this helps.

Well Veronica, I just want you to know what a "DUH" moment I just had reading your post! I too have the stepstool/toolbox combo which I love for step-ups, but do you know my retarded a#@ has been putting the step on top the toolbox rather than the toolbox atop the step?! And the whole time I'm doing the sit and stand squats I'm paranoid that my fat a#@ is going to roll to one side and tilt the whole thing over so those have been miserable for me for the past 6 weeks! Thank you so much for your post, and although I'm feeling incredibly stupid at this moment, I'll feel much better on Thursday when I do PS-L&A again and don't have to worry about tilting off the stool! :)
Clearly I am eons away from being part of the "educated" crowd :)
Thanks again for the continued education :)
