Mindy Myrlea

Thanks Jen. It sounds like a fun workout and definitely a different mix from a lot of the workouts I have. I agree that Cathe's kickboxing is hard to beat (especially KPC...my alltime favorite) I really appreciate you giving me so much detail. I'm definitely ordering the workout. Thanks again for the info.

:D :D

Hi Steppingfool! I believe it was stated that a 4# med ball was used. I doubt you could substitute a db for this w/out due to the weaving the ball in between your legs and all. Kathy

I did section 2 (on the step) yesterday after I got out of work, my second workout for the day - the first one being my own Circuit Training class - so I was not what you would call "fresh."

I liked it, sweated buckets, but need to work on some of the stuff she does. I used a 6# med ball, 'cause that's the lightest I have. I did not do all the strength exercises at the end, but did view them. I like her push-ups variations. There's a lot I'll be able to use for me classes, and I REALLY liked the lower body work! The med ball rocks, I'm telling you! That's the only equipment she uses in this DVD.

I'll be spending the weekend viewing the others that I got.

I've always loved my Mindy workouts and now hearing about the med ball exercises in these new ones, this is really motivating me to buy them. Over the last couple weeks my kickbox instructor has been having us do drills with the med ball. Holy moly, I actually got my heartrate up to almost 170 and was sweating buckets by the time we were done (and let's not talk about the doms LOL). The exercises at first glance seemed pretty benign but they really got in there good.

Well I'll have to look into these new workouts. Thanks girls for helping me spend my money!;-)

>Can somebody tell me what size (wt) med ball did they use?
>Do they use one or a pair of med balls? Do you think you can
>subsitute a dumbell instead? Thanks.

It is a 4# regular-size med ball (a bit smaller than a basketball). (Vs. smaller 'heavy meds' like the TLT's use).

I wouldn't use a dumbbell instead, but you might try rolling up an ankle weight into a ball and using that.

I have to give a huge thanks to Jen. I finally decided after reading all her great feedback regarding Mindy's bootcamp workout to order it. I did it this weekend and I absolutely love it. It's exactly the kind of workout I love doing. Thanks again Jen. :D :D :D

I just want to comment that I loving her other new workouts, All about Legs and All about abs, I add one section to my workout, I love the legs section with the med ball and the Gliding workouts, I do them with paper plates and it works fine.

I've been using some of her glider and stability ball exercises in my classes. LOVE the glider ones especially! I hope to use more of the med ball ones, too, in my circuit training class.
