Hi Cathe, I have some arthritis in my neck on one side. When doing military presses, I can handle much more weight if I'm seated on the mini-step when doing them rather than standing and it feels much more comfortable. Am I missing anything by not standing?

Hi Mar--I'm not Cathe but........

Personally I think doing seated military presses are BETTER than standing, mostly b/c you're less likely to arch your back and/or throw your body weight into the exercise.

I like to do military presses on a chair w/a back to it. That way I can press my lower back against the chair to ensure my back doesn't arch, & my form is much better.
