Metabolic conditioning comments

I've been doing the October rotation (using Xtrain, CrossFire/To the Max and newest series) and am really enjoying it. I feel like my fitness level is really improving. Is it just my imagination, or does the metabolic conditioning remind anyone else of classic Firm workouts? It's like the best of the old Firm utilizing functional moves, combining weights and cardio but with an updated feel. I used to do Firm workouts all the time, but haven't for a number of years so my memory may be faulty. Cathe's cardio is definitely more intense, but there's something about these workouts that reminds my body of how I felt when I first started doing Firms.

Ok, I have a confession...I actually dug out some of my classic firms because of this .....the cardio is definitely not so tough but they were solid workouts, Anna Benson was ahead of her time .....hard not to giggle a little bit at the outfits and some of the dancier moves though
 
I got my start to home exercising with the Firm. I will never forget how sore I was the first few days after doing Firm 1 & 2 for the first time...really, really sore! It was through a Firm forum that I learned about Cathe. Forever grateful!

I always liked the original Firm workouts and can see how some of Cathe's metabolic workouts are a modern twist to the Firm style (minus the porn music of course :eek:). I also dropped weight very quickly when I started doing the Firm!

So true, Lisa. I could have written your post myself. My fav Firm was 2. Sore.....sore.....sore, but I kept doing them.

My Cathe's workouts are like Firm's on speed to me. They are like ten times the work, effort, sweat and fun!
