Meso 2 Disc Order Question

Cathlete
I am starting Meso 2 next week and noticed that the discs are upper body, legs, upper body. I was doing legs on Thursdays and resting on Fridays. Is there any reason why I shouldn't/couldn't continue with doing the upper body like Sun and Tues then lower on Thurs? I wasn't sure if it was set up with this new pattern on purpose (well, it probably is but...).

Thanks,
Heather

I had assumed, the switch up was intentional, and just another way to add an additional "shock" factor to the program as a whole. I personally want to do this as close to Cathe's intentions as possible. But I don't think switching the order to fit your schedule better is going to drastically change your results one way or another.

Heather, I have found that 2 days isn't enough rest between the 2 upper body disks. All the smaller muscles are used to support the heavier weights on chest and back, so you may find those muscles are still recovering on Tues from being used on Sunday. So although there is probably nothing wrong with switching up the order, I would recommend reordering so that you have more time in between the UB days. Just my $.02. Good luck!

All 2 cents appreciated! I need to know from those who have started the rotation so it's greatly appreciated. Thank you!

As others have mentioned the two main reasons for this muscle group scheduling change is to increase the rest time between upper body workouts and to shock your body by changing your workout routine schedule. Too many people fall into the trap of always working the same muscle group on the same day of every week. This often leads to a person even doing the exact same routine every week and this will quickly cause an exerciser to hit a plateau.

With STS we want you to always do something different every week. We do this by introducing new exercises, varying the intensity and volume of the routine, and even changing your workout schedule. This not only helps to keep you focused and excited about your fitness program, but also helps to increase the speed and magnitude of your results.
