Ah, finally a moment to sit down and catch up. I cleaned a lot this morning before my friend came (it’s not like my house was nasty, but the bathrooms were due for a cleaning and there was some clutter here and there, etc.). So my friend came around 11-ish and was here until 3:30 or so. After she left I had to do some more tasks and get Ewan down for a nap.
Good news—I’ve got all 3 of my new kettlebell workouts now! I’m going to try one tomorrow—think I might try Lauren’s first. I’m going to try to do it in the morning before my orthodontic appointment (have to get the braces adjusted).
No workout today, I’m afraid, except the Clean Max and Laundry Max varieties. We did play tennis yesterday, though, so I’m not a total lazybones. I also have to admit I didn’t start the South Beach Diet as planned. Once I remembered my friend was coming over I decided to wait and do it tomorrow—just couldn’t focus on a big new thing like that when she was coming with all her kids.
Shelley, I think you should take a rest day! They are good for you, especially when dealing with PMS and The Hunger.
Judy, so are you another kettlebell fan? I have had my kettlebells a while, but only the sort of dull Kettlebells the Iron Core Way DVDs. I just got 3 new ones (AOS Providence, Lauren Brooks’ DVD, and Extreme Kettlebell Cardio).
Robin, glad you had some good baby-free time. Speaking of babies and stuff, my friend’s 4-month old almost got my hormones in gear to think about having a third baby. Almost.
Nancy, I’m waving “hi” if you could see it. Is the weather as beautiful in the city as it is here in the ‘burbs?
Shannon, I feel like the worst of the summer heat is over here (hope so, anyway). I mean, we’re not anywhere near busting out long sleeves and pants, but we’re at least not sweating all over the place all the time.
Breckie, well, didn’t do grilled cheese, but I’m thinking that might be a good dinner option for the boys. We actually had spaghetti for my friend and me and mac’n’cheese for the kids plus ice cream for dessert.
Allie, sorry you had the emotional mess involved with your family
but I’m glad you at least got some good relaxing time with Jim.
((((HUGS))))
Tneah, sorry you had one of THOSE days yesterday. Just remember most days aren’t that awful, right?
