== MELTERS! Work Out! it's Wednesday! ==

Cathlete
Good Morning,

No workout this morning for me:-( ..DH was snoring so badly last night that I came downstairs and slept on the couch! Needless to say, I did not get a good nights sleep and did not get up to workout..only to make coffee and sit here. Maybe later I can get an I-Tread in but by the time I get home from work, I know I will not want to do it.

Just getting us started..BB in a bit

Deb

Goodmorning all.

Deb, I'm sorry to hear you had a bad night. I'm so glad my DH rarely snores. If he did, he'd be the one on the couch, not me!

I didn't get to workout yesterday. I still feel pretty crappy. I think half my symptoms now (dizziness, tired) are due to the anti-viral medicine. I'll be glad to finish up with that in a couple days. I went to the viewing for my pathologist friend last night. It was very crowded, as I expected. His widow is a true southern lady who epitomizes the word gracious. His daughter is also a doctor and a lovely person. It was sad, but nice to see some retired folks I haven't seen in years. I stood in line with the woman who was my mentor 30 years ago and responsible for me becoming a microbiolist. It was rewarding that the first thing she said to me was that I was looking svelte! I don't know if there is a workout in my future today or not. I'll try to get back later to see what you all are up to.

Good Morning Melters.

Last night, I did MM. It's always a good one to get me motivated back into working out. Tonight it s/b LM and CM#3. HCE will be this weekend sometime, not sure when I'll try Bento again.
Although, I was awoken about 4AM due to my cats, Seville and Madrid, being the great hunters they are, chasing mice. Then later, I got to hear their reward. This time, there were no remains left. Always after their hunt, they come into my room to make sure I'm OK.

Some good news, no more snow in our forecast. Last night, it rained and thunderstormed alot. Friday is supposed to be in the high 60s-with rain. Next week or two, more grass seed needs to go down plus conditioning the lawn.

Robin-Wait till you finished with your meds before working out. Do other things until you're ready to go back to it.

Leanne-Yes, I will consider flying out in mid-Sept. My vacation is in August but that week is my parent's 50th in northern MI.. So, I will start checking into flights after NY.

Lainie-How's life?

Shelley-Did you get your jeans?

Deb-Sorry about your bad night too.

The Biggest Loser was great last night!!

Good morning all. It's going to be a busy day again so I thought I'd pop on early to greet everyone. (This is early for me to be on.)

After dropping Ewan at nursery school I'll be walking across the village (wish the ankle good luck) to have coffee with a friend. Then at 5:30 pm we have our first T-ball practice for Isaac. OK, now that I wrote that it doesn't look that busy, does it? But two events outside the norm makes for a busy day when you're adding them to the regular mom stuff. Ya know, 'cause I'm kind of lazy.

I plan to do Get Ripped and Chiseled today (upper body only) so I can finish the Jari Love worksheets. I'll have all of them done except Get Ripped 1000, anyway, which I don't own anymore. Then I'll put them on the blog.

I have a tummy ache this morning. Perhaps Honey Nut Cheerios was not such a great breakfast choice.

Oh, and last night I dreamed I faked my own death but continued to live in the same city and kept having to hide from people.

Deb, sorry you had such a rough night's sleep. Don't push the workout tonight if you aren't up to it. Nothing wrong with a rest.

Robin, so sorry you feel so crappy. Medicines usually make me feel worse before better, too. Sending you more get well vibes!

Jennifer, your cats have the best names! I love MM, may have to bring that one into a rotation soon.

OK, off to take Isaac to the bus stop. BBL and love to all who follow!

Good morning, everyone!

Another wet day in the forecast! It's funny - everyone is complaining about it, but this is actually how I remember it back when I was a kid. The dry springs we've been having are abnormal to me. And besides, the weekend is supposed to be sunny and gorgeous, so I'm happy. :D

My dear mother made chocolate chip cookie bars yesterday. So guess what I did last night? :9 :7 I'll try to be good today. Maybe.

Deb - I'm with Robin - make your DH hit the couch if he snores. I hope you're not too tired today. Why don't you just make DH a nice comfy bed on the couch tonight so you can be sure to have a good sleep? ;)

Robin - I didn't know they had anti-viral medicine! I thought you just had to wait out a virus. Goes to show how much I know. I hope you feel better soon. Maybe you feel a bit better after that wonderful compliment from your mentor!

Jennifer - glad you had a good workout! I like MM too. Your cats are getting mice in the house? Whew. I hope those mice vacate the premises soon.

Lanie - your day does sound busy. I'm not a mom, but I know momhood is BUSY!! Those late evening things like ball games really take a toll. I hope Isaac has fun with T-ball!

Good Morning All!

Well, my little trip down to Newport Beach was a success. The boat is looking mighty fine and dandy, ready for the perspective buyers.Long, long day though. No one should have to fly twice in one day--really.x(

Obviously I had to skip my whole workout routine yesterday, but I stuck very close to my diet plan, skipped a few meals because its hard to pack enough chicken breasts on a plane and stuff, but thats okay.

I have a slight UTI happening, not sure why, never get these. So I had some leftover antibiotics from my oral surgery, hopefully they will knock it out. The over the counter stuff never really works does it? Also, lots of vitamin C and cranberry extract today. Yuk. I hate these things.:-( I did drink a buttload of coffee yesterday and then there was the weekend fling we had, so anyway!

It was quiet round here yesterday.

Deb, my DH snored so bad last night too!x( Geez. Sorry it affected your sleep, tomorrow is another day to spend with Grace right?

Robin, how nice you received a "svelte" compliment!:7 Love it.

Shannon, cookies? Oh boy, one of my downfalls, I love those big, gooey, chewy ones with chocolate chips and peanut butter, and oh, yummers.:9

Jennifer, your cats names are adorable, not so adorable? The "presents" they give you.;)

Lainie, love the new avatar! Sounds like you do have a busy day, have fun watching Issac play.:)

Shelley, did I miss you this morning? Did you get those pants?

Hi to Leanne and TK and everyone to follow, BBL to chat. Mitch's daughter is here until Saturday, plus the boys are down, so its another crazy, busy week around here!

Happy Hump Day, everyone!

I missed you all yesterday, and it sounds like it was a quiet day! I still have that weird dizziness and heart palpitations thing going on, but I'm thinking that the Flonase hasn't worked its way out of my system yet. We'll see how it goes in the next few days. Thanks to all your great suggestions for slathering on the Aquaphor and petroleum jelly, my chapped lips are also much better!

Today I'll be doing GS Back/Sh/Bis and perhaps 20 minutes of HIIT. I think that I may end up taking a recovery week next week; I've been feeling run down, and realized on Monday (when I was dragging myself through a workout) that I haven't really taken a recovery week since the fall.

I was also talking to some friends at work yesterday about the value of taking a "mental health" day, and may need to take one of those soon. I haven't called in sick this entire school year (not even last semester), so I'm trying to talk myself into it. Speaking of work, the police just arrested some man who was threatening to shoot up a college in San Diego; I didn't find out about it until after they arrested him, but most of my students were pretty freaked out about it yesterday, and I had really low attendance. I think many of them stayed home since they hadn't heard that he'd been caught.

Sorry for all the chattiness today!:)

Deb -- Sorry that you got such lousy sleep last night! If you end up missing your workout today, just remember that you've been working so hard that it's fine to skip a day.

Tneah -- Glad that your day with the boat went well yesterday, but what a long day it must have been for you! That sucks, too, about the UTI! I'm so glad to hear that everything went well at the Dr.'s on Monday. It sounds like the progesterone will help get rid of those troubles you've been having. Oh, and I started using the Serum two nights ago -- and it really does make your skin so nice and glowy (sp?)! Thank you so much again for the wonderful goodies! I also keep forgetting to thank you again for recommending those wonderful camis from Anthropolgie; I picked up a black one and a cream one, and they're fantastic since they don't ride up. Love it all! So is it two or three more days until the end of the program??

Lainie -- That is so cute that Isaac said that about bringing you flowers to cheer you up! What a cutie pie! Is this morning when you can find out more about your priest's marriage? Hope it's good gossip, and I'll send you my positive vibes for your ankle! Did you see that Tracey S. should be shipping some of the new workouts this week? I'm excited to get them, even though I don't have any of her others. I ordered the Circuit and Core ones, and then the Kickboxing one that won't be out until later this month. Love the new avatar!

Shelley -- Where are you this morning? We miss you! Did you end up going back to Gap to pick up those jeans? How has work been with that co-worker back? Were you up early this morning?

Robin -- I bet you are looking very svelte, even if you're feeling so crummy right now. Sorry to hear about the funeral. Maybe this weekend if you feel better, it might be time for some re-connecting!;-)

Shannon -- Those chocolate chip cookie bars sound wonderful! Can you send some my way?;-) How are things going at work with that increased workload? Does the new set-up seem to still be helping your shoulder? I hope so!

Jennifer -- Oh I love MM! It's one of my favorites and one of the first Cathe workouts I bought last year. Sorry to hear that the cats kept you up again. Yes, it would be great to have you out here in September! Let's talk more about it soon; my brother-in-law (and in-laws) are moving out here sometime this summer (they just put their house in Wisconsin up for sale last week), and my BIL is going to be moving in with us for awhile. I'm really hoping he's gone by September, but if he's still with us, we won't have our guest room available!:-(

TK -- Yes, I finally got my new car back on Friday evening; there was something wrong with the airbag sensor on the passenger side, but it's supposed to be fixed now. Sounds like you did a lot of prep work in the garden this past weekend so you'll be ready to plant when things warm up.

Emily -- Are you all recovered after your race last weekend? How is everything else going?

Mornin' Melters!

Sorry I wasn't around yesterday. Stupid work. :p This morning was PUB, and BM2 abs (instead of PUB abs). I got my JumpSnap yesterday and hope to give it a try tomorrow morning. :)

Deb, sorry you had a sleepless night. I hope you gave DH a good swift kick to the shin before you went to sleep on the couch. :p That's what I would do! }(

Robin, I'm sorry your meds are making you feel crappy. :( Just a couple more days!!!

Jennifer, I'm glad you're going to be snow-free for a while. We have major rain in our forecast - they're predicting a lot of flooding over the next couple of days.

Lainie, I'm totally LOL at you saying "You know, 'cause I'm kind of lazy" ;) I can identify with that! And your dream is totally bizzarre. Next time you fake your death in a dream, you should at least move to a different city. :p

Shannon, mmmmmmm, chocolate chip cookies.... :9

Tneah, glad you got the boat all spiffed up. I hope your UTI goes away soon. I've never had one *knock on wood* but they sound miserable.

Leanne, I'm sorry you're still feeling dizzy and having heart palpitations! I hope that goes away soon. I think a recovery week next week sounds like just what the doctor ordered.

Alright, I better get back to work here. Later 'gators! :)

Hey guys,

Whew. Just finished arms/chest and calves along with an elliptical workout. Glad that is over with.:) Sometimes I just don't enjoy working out, ya know what I mean?

Leanne, time for a mental and physical break for you darlin'. You really need a break, take one, you have worked your tail off (literally) for a long time!:) And whats up with the palps and dizziness? Hum, keep an eye one that please! And so glad you like the serum, its my favorite!

Emily, good to see you woman, we miss you when you aren't around.WTH is jumpsnap?? Oh no, another workout I cannot live without?}(

Well I knocked out the mild UTI deal. I drank some cranberry extract along with two quarts of water and one antibiotic, so *crosses fingers* it looks like its history. I hate those damn things, so irritating, literally, used to get them alot when I was younger.

Okay, off to shower and then plan my day around the boys and Taylor, Mitch's daughter. Oh, Mr. Trainer man check in is friday, they sent me an email asking if I wanted to continue with the program. Hum, well that one was easy! No! At least not for the next few weeks or so, I really need a break from the strictness for a minute or two.;)

Hey all,

Emily -- Darn that work, keeping you from checking in and having fun!;-) Why does work always have to interfere with the fun things in life?! Let us know how you like the Jump Snap. I used to love taking a half-hour jump-roping class class at my old gym, and miss it! It's such a great workout.

Tneah -- Yes, this dizziness just sucks. I keep thinking that it's going away, but it's not. Last year, I had the exact same thing going on, and it never got resolved in the sense that it went away, but my Dr. never figured out what was going on. I'm really hoping that stopping the Flonase will clear it up; that seemed to work last year. Fingers crossed that the UTI is GONE! And how exciting that Friday will be your last day of the program! Woo-hoo! Don't overdo it by doing too much for the boys and for Mitch's daughter; remember to take some alone time today for you!

Alright, I just got done with some grading, and am off to tackle GS Back/Sh/Bis before getting back to work again! I love working shoulders for some odd reason, but hate working biceps. Go figure!

Good afternoon all. I've decided to ditch the workouts until the anti-viral meds are all gone. I think I have tomorrow and one pill the following day. They just make me so tired and dizzy.

Leanne, yeah, it sucks to be dizzy. At least I know why though. I was having dizzy spells once and my doctor thought it was just a viral infection. It cleared up in about the time a cold would.

tneah, I know where the UTI came from. }( Ever hear of honeymoon cystitis? This may be TMI, but since menopause, every time I "connect" with my DH is a mutually successful way, I would get one too. My doctor prescribed an antibiotic to be used post connection. And be warned, here comes my microbiologist scolding. DON'T EVER NOT FINISH AN ANTIBIOTIC PRESCRIPTION AND DON'T EVER TAKE ONE NOT SPECIFICALLY PRESCRIBED FOR YOUR SYMPTOMS. I know first hand of a woman who told a dose of her daughter's antibiotic. She got a form of anemia where your body totally stops making any blood cells and died. Scary but true. And those nasty resistant superbugs are evolved because people don't finish their prescription. OK, scolding over. I scold because I care. LOL at your deeply thought about response to Mr Trainerman!

Emily, yeah, stupid work!

Shannon, most viral infections are not treatable. Shingles is one of the few that is. And only if you catch it early enough. Mine wasn't diagnosed early, but I was still getting new rash bumps, so the doctor said to take it. Yeah, rain in the spring is the way it should be.

Lainie, your day sounds nice. I've always lived out of town. When I was a kid, I thought it would be so neat to live within walking distance of a store. It was always a thrill to visit my cousins in Yonkers and walk to the deli and grocery store.

Jennifer, my sister emailed me that she is still getting flurries in NE Washington state. Hey, do you have any big plans for your parents 50th? We had a big luncheon for my in-laws. My parents only made it to 45 when my dad died.

Deb, I thought of you at work. A guy I work with was complaining that his wife kept poking him about his snoring.

Shelley, where are you today? Not in the HH, I hope. Or is the co-worker driving you crazy?

Hi to TK if she stops in later.

Hey Robin, Glad that you've decided to take it easy these next few days! It sounds like your body needs some time to recover and heal, and you don't want to make yourself feel worse by working out when you're already dizzy and not feeling well. And thanks for the scolding (which I'm sure we all need) about taking antibiotics.

Shelley -- Yoo-hoo . . . where are you today? We miss you!! Hope you're not having a cr---y day!

OK, back to work for me. Gotta finish reading and prepping for _Wuthering Heights_ tomorrow.

Hi,

I didn't get back this morning, so I thought I would pop in for a second to see what everyone was up to today.

Robin:
Sorry to hear that you are still not feeling 100% and about your friend.

Jennifer:
Those cats are pretty good "mousers"!

Lainie:
YOu are so nice to do the worksheets and put them on your blog! I am still tempted by that Get Ripped & Chiseled..but with all the things I think I will be buying for STS, I am trying to hold back! I wish I would not have bought that Dance one now.. the only thing I like is the AB part..

Shannon:
Oh send those cookie bars our way please?:9

Tneah:
Yes flying 2 times a day is pretty exhausting! ( I used to do it once a month on a regular trip to DC). At least you know the boat is in tip top shape now. Sorry to hear about the UTI. Listen to Robin about the anti-biotics...she is one smart cookie!

Leanne:
I hope you are feeling better by the time you read this. I think you should take an R&R day...I decided to take one tomorrow. DH is going to Saratoga to see him Mom and I have to take him to the airport early. I want to just do stuff around here, and relax. Maybe get in a good nap! Scary about the man threatening to shoot up the college..I can understand why the students would stay home.

Emily:
How do you feel after your run? What is jumpsnap?

Good night all!

Deb

Hi Melters. This morning I did Christi Taylor Totally Hot Cardio. I'm not one who likes hi/lo a lot but I like this one.

I've not been around much again for a couple days because I had to do the usual 'heroics' at work. At the end the big boss was happy, so I guess I'll remain employed at least for a little while. LOL

Deb: So sorry about your bad night! I agree, you should've put him on the couch! Maybe a pair of earplugs would help?

Jennifer: OMG I clapped at the end of The Biggest Loser! Can you believe those weight losses for the week? If they keep Mark in I think a girl has a good chance of winning (finally!). What do you think?

Shannon: Oh no, Mom's baking again!

Tneah: Glad you made it back from getting your boat 'standing tall' Today DH was showing me the latest in marine potty engineering, so I guess I'll start seeing packages showing up on our doorstep soon. Marine pottys are so complicated!

Leanne: I got my lettuce planted now, and while I was out finding seeds I bought a couple tomato plants. Since they were so cheap I planted them outside. If they get lost in a frost, I'll still have my seedlings inside. Oh I get so impatient waiting for my tomatoes to get ripe! Hey, go ahead and take a mental health day! You probably haven't needed a sick day because you're taking such good care of yourself. Since cleaning up my lifestyle I've noticed I rarely get sick anymore (hope I didn't jinx myself by saying that).

Emily: Ditto, stupid work. 'Nuff said.

Robin: You svelte woman you! What a cool word.

Lainie: Love your new avatar. That picture really shows off your beautiful skin.
