Hi everyone. I just got back from a meeting at the elementary school for Kindergarten parents (about how they place kids in different classes in 1st grade). I don't feel so well today. I'm just tired and achy and my stomach is a bit upset. I think I just didn't get enough sleep last night. DH got home late and after I'd gone to lie down he asked me to get up again to print something off my computer (he's having a lot of trouble with his work laptop). Then he was up well before the crack of dawn to go catch a plane to Toronto. It's his first time to Canada, actually. He'll be back tonight so it's not a long trip.
Anyway, so my sleep was rather disturbed and I also had my usual round of freaky dreams (this one included some strange architecture, violence, college classes until I remembered I already graduated, and an evil roommate). I am way behind on writing this stuff on my dream blog. I would really rather be asleep right now (and who wouldn't, with my action-packed sci-fi sort of dreamland) but I have to go pick up Ewan at 11:30.
The ankle still hurts and it's still swollen and a bit greenish. I feel so blah today that I'm considering just declaring the remainder of this week a wash and resting until Monday. Not sure yet. I hate feeling lazy, but I do feel rather lazy and worn out. I think I'd be more motivated if I was capable of doing more than upper body or yoga.
Deb, I have been wearing a tight thingey around my ankle (not sure of the technical term--not quite a brace, not quite a wrap--just a constrictive thing you pull on. I'm also trying to keep it elevated when I'm actually sitting. Trouble is finding time to sit. I'm not so good at the resting it part. I did manage to resist the temptation to go flouncing around Target today, at least.
Robin, glad you're finishing your antiviral meds. Hope you are back to 100% soon!
Shelley, good job getting that morning workout done. I like Coremax #2 also--I love using my stability ball for workouts (or my bosu). It seems more comfy on the back when doing core work, especially.
Jennifer, yikes, good luck with that nasty weather. It's just a blah cloudy day here--think it will rain at some point.
Shannon, I thought of you this morning when I heard more about the nasty weather on the radio. So glad everything is o.k. with you.
Leanne, I totally forgot to ask about the priest's wedding when I had coffee with Mother Emily. I'm terribly bad at gossip. We had a really nice chat, though.
Emily, I don't even run races, and I have trouble taking it easy. Actually, I don't have trouble if I avoid working out altogether, but if I actually do exercise then I tend to overdo it. So, point is, I can see how trying to take it easy while in a race would be tough.
Tneah, so glad you are finishing that killer program. I think you need some rest now!
Hello to all who follow. Must go do some exciting laundry!
