Meet Boogedy

Boogedy began as a foam skeleton. My son Michael and I worked on this project together. We used pantyhose, liquid latex, and paint to give a fresh out of the grave appearance. I corpsed the body, Michael finished his face.

I just finished adding pneumatic movement & electronic controller. He is triggered by a step mat.
The kids in my neighborhood love the surprises I come up with each year. I think they will like him!

Here is a video of Boogedy in action.

Dixiedog fit_fairy......Come to the dark side, we have candy!;)

Muscle Car, my boxers have no reaction really. I worked on this guy for months so that may have something to do with it. However, Maximus hates that I took his window away to hang a flying crank ghost! LOL

Oh my gosh, . . .Love it!!! How awesome is that!!! Your house sounds like so much fun!!! Could you possibly post more pics? I bet your costumes will be great! I just love Halloween, scary movies, candy, costumes, . .what is there not to love! My kids would so not come over to your house though. :)

That is so cool Cynthia!!! That's much better than the cheesy stuff you buy in the store. It would certainly make me pee my pants!!
Way to scare the kiddies ;) LOL

Cynthia:
You and DS have some talent there!
An awesome job (looks like remains of tissue and dried blood on the bones: wonderfully creepy!)

Halloween used to be my favorite holiday, but after I figured out that no kids come down on my little dead-end street (I wish drivers were the same!), I gave up on trying to decorate after the first year when I went all out).

Thanks everyone!

I love Halloween.:D I was not going to do a display this year because Mercedes' illness zapped my energy and desire.
DH convinced me to do another display because the kids would most likely be disappointed. We live in a gated community so our trick r treater's are limited to the neighborhood kids. The kids know my house and in some way have created the monster in me to create these large displays.

I video taped my house last year on Halloween night. The video is not great because it was recorded on a flip camera. The window display is a video projection (from inside) on a sheet. The projection bleeds through the sheet and the result is very cool. :cool:The hissing sound you hear is my fog machine. I also have two pneumatic controlled creature crates that bang violently and growl like something is trying to break out. I have some props that make the kids jump, but for the most part my display is a creepy dark atmosphere.

The itsy bitsy spider you hear in the background is my trunk full of bad children from past Halloween.

The year before, I used talking skeletons like this one:

Unfortunately, the kids ran right past them and didn't stop to listen to the routine. It took me a year to understand the mechanics of that prop!!

That is so cool!!!

and truly freaky! Your house sounds like it's the place to be for sure! We live out in the country, so no trick or treaters but we like to decorate the grandparent's house...you are just so creative!
