Medicine Ball

I just bought Core Max and have to say my abs aren't feeling it. I have strong abs but have never used a medicine ball. I'm wondering if i should exchange the suggested 8 pound ball for something higher? Any thoughts?

If the 8 pound ball isn't working for you I don't see why you can't go higher. Sometimes I use a 10 pound ball. In other workouts I use a 25 or 30 pound kettlebell.

A lot of times I sub a dumbbell. There are times when that's not a good idea (like when the ball is between your knees and above rather sensitives areas), but a lot of the moves can be done with a dumbbell - and that way you don't need to buy a bunch of medicine balls.

I only have a 10-pound med ball, and I use it in place of the 8-pound in all of the workouts that she uses a med ball. I used to take boxing lessons, and that's when I bought one. We used them a lot for sit-ups. Like you, the 8-pounder just didn't do it for me.
