Just looked at your picture-WOW!!! You look awesome!!!! You could be in Cathe's videos. How did you get where you are now?

Okay....let me get over my giggles from Janice...:+ :7 :) you are way to cute....running my butt off!!! Thanks Janice...:)..

To bestoutwest thank you so much for the compliments...I'd love to be in a Cathe workout!!

Yes...I am a runner, distance mostly and have been rather compulsive about exercise since High School. The pic I posted was taken after 2 rotations of P90X last Nov. Last May I started P90X (www.beachbody.com) the first rotation I ever did. I also changed my diet to Vegan. I had been in a slump, up about 15 lbs and had a running injury (achilles tendonitis) and eating complete junk! With the P90X rotation I added some running and some Cathe workouts and lost 20 lbs putting me in the best shape of my life. I am 46 and IMO to get results you really have to eat clean. It of course also helps to exercise and if you can follow a rotation it does keep you focused and looking forward to the next workout.

And...I still want your workout room!!!!....:)...Carole

You do look great! Been meaning to ask you, how do you work in your running with weight and other Cathe workouts? I know I've seen you answer this before somewhere, but can't seem to find it in a search. I'm a racewalker (knees balk too much when I run).

Edited: ARGH! LOL...I see it in the post just below mine now. :p Sorry!

You look great at 46!!! I am hearing a lot about the P90X program on these boards-might have to check it out! Anyway, you are a huge motivation to me, as is Cathe and all the other beautiful women on this board!!! Can't wait to get home and workout!!! (yes, I'm at work!!! Only until noon, so can acutally get a workout in this afternoon)

Carole:

I, too, think you look fab, and I really appreciate all of the questions you've answered about your workouts (I know I am constantly peppering you on the daily thread, lol).

Just wanted to tell you that I went ahead and ordered the S&H series this morning. I was debating about S&H vs. the Gym-Styles, but your comments really helped clarify for me that S&H will help me to reach my strength goals. So thanks very much!

Cheers,
Marie

Carole, are you training for the American River Endurance Run? It's mentioned in the Feb 2005 Runner's World & I recall that you're training for a 50 miler. Hope your training is going well.

You & Dean Karnazes certainly demonstrate that endurance runners aren't necessarily scrawny!

Debra

Thanks Marie...and I have never felt you were peppering me with questions...:)...I like them...I hope S&H helps you break some plateaus and get stronger. Let me know how you like them...

Debra...no, no 50 miler as of yet. I do know some running the American River 50 though. I am training for a 50K...which is 31 miles. It is in Cool calif hence the name "Way to Cool 50K". I think some people would be very surpised that endurance runners are not all skin and bones!!!....:)...Carole

Oops! Obviously I got the 50 right & had a memory lapse after that!

The "Way to Cool" looks tough w/ 3600' of climb & descent! It's a pretty area, which will be a nice distraction during your event.

Debra

Debra...not really uncommon...alot of people hear 50K and think 50 miles...the 50K will still kill me....:)...my friend I ran with today has told me all about the course. I am really looking forward to being on trails and it will be tough. It's my 2nd 50K so I am not really worried about time...just survival...:+ :7 }( ...Carole
