May 15 is the last day to buy orignal "Archie" comics

Archie and the gang are becoming modernized as of May 15. The whole look is changing! The new faces have a Japanese "manga" animation look about them. Not necessarily a bad thing, just a sad thing in our house.

My daughter is scouring all stores for the originals before the dreaded May 15 day. She is using all her babysitting money for this very important purchase.

An update.

My daughter just informed me that the new format will be only one story per issue. It is the publishers way of slowly introducing the new format before they make the complete changeover.

Still makes me sad.

How sad! My sisters and I grew up reading Archie comics. I think I still have a couple of old ones stuffed away in boxes somewhere. Thanks for the update. I'm heading for the beach tomorrow with my sisters so I'll definitely pick up a couple for reading this week!
