Hi ladies!!
Kathy, enjoy LIC! That's always a fun one.
Chris, no funks!! Sending you happy thoughts!!
Does that help? Probably not, huh?
I'm sure Leandro will be better at lifting your spirits. I just felt like doing a fun workout today, so I did TurboSport. Cardio Axe is fun. OMG - that trip sounds exhausting. 10 hours on a bus with 8th graders? Bring your ipod to drown out the noise. Why do they have to start every day before 6am? Those kids will be wiped out by the end of the day. Maybe they are trying to minimize any hotel goofing off. I remember the best part of overnight field trips was running through the halls of the hotel and being goofy!!
Beth, I did see that treadmill pyramid workout Cathe posted. Looked good. I may try it sometime this week. I want a treadmill at home!!! DH is looking online for a jet ski. Something we don't need and have no room for. But, I told him if he gets one, I'm getting a treadmill. He keeps telling me no, we don't have room, etc., etc. He got a boat, hot tub, has numerous motorcycles, ATV, etc. I'm hoping he gets the jet ski now so I can be justified in getting a treadmill. Kind of crazy logic, I know! Anyway, maybe just take a week off of scheduled workouts. Just do what you want. Walk, yoga, or nothing. You need a break sometimes.
My commute to the eye doctor last night was a nightmare! I usually take the train to work. Love it. I had to drive yesterday so I could go to the eye doctor. It should have been a 1/2 hour ride. Well, it was an hour and forty minutes of five mile an hour torture! Ugh - I hate traffic!! The expressway I took was under construction, but I had no idea until I got on it. I was stressing I was going to be late and they would be gone by the time I got there. I was 45 minutes late, but they were still there. They were running really late cause they had two emergencies. One had a detached retina and the other got punched in the eye. I didn't want to complain about waiting after that! I had to wait there for about an hour before they saw me for two minutes. He said the cell growth is stable and to come back in six months. He'll eventually have to remove it, but didn't want to get into what he would have to do, since what he's done so far hasn't worked. He did say they are researching new ways to deal with this stuff, so maybe I'll get a resolution to this in, oh, the next five years or so!
Caitlyn is on a field trip with her class to the zoo today. I'm having some working-mom guilt here. She really wanted me to chaperone and I used up so much time this year that I'm trying to build some back up so I have enough for our vacation in July. And, my boss told me to watch my time. And, they are talking about layoffs here.
But, a seven-year old doesn't understand that. It's a great day, though, 70 and sunny.
Have a good day all...
Joanne
