Hi ladies...

Today looks like it will be free of rain for us...Chris' game got cancelled last night due to rain. I was really glad because he has a really bad cold right now and he didn't need to be outside playing baseball. Anyway, today the kids have field day during PE class. I am not sure they will still have it or not if the field is too wet and muddy. I guess we will find out later about that...

Workout for me today is Low Impact Circuit; which is good since I haven't done that one in a while and I like it...

Be back later...time to get going on this Wednesday!!

Good Morning!

We have the clouds and drizzle today. Ick. Had clouds yesterday too and it's bringing me down. I think that's what it is, anyway. Suddenly I just feel a horrible funk.

Kathy: Enjoy LIC! That is a good one, and fun , great to look forward to it.

Today is supposed to be IMAX2. I've somehow grown disenchanted with IM2. Hmmm. Weird. It just doesn't excite me the way it used to and there's even a little DREAD factor. How can that be??. So instead today, i'm going to do Cardio Axe from BBL (for the first time!) and try to get in HiiT 30/30. I felt up to it, until the funk set in. maybe this will get the funk out! ;)

Oh yeah! Went to a Washington DC informational meeting last night. Holy cow, I'm not sure I'm up for this trip! First of all, (and I knew this but must have been blocking itout) , it's a 10 hour trip on a BUS FILLED with 8th graders! . We need to be AT THE SCHOOL at 5:15AM on Tuesday, June 8th! We come BACK on FRIDAY , around 11p!!!. Each day starts before 6am and we're out touring ALL day, get back to the rooms about 10p.

Holy crap.

Good morning! It was drizzly here yesterday, though the kids tell me it rained when they were at school, and it's supposed to rain a couple of days next week. This is really unusual for us, but I will take it! Anything to keep those fires away. I like the rain anyway, I must confess, but I hope you get out of your funk, Chris, which sounds weather-related!

Kathy, I hope you enjoyed LIC. Chris, I can't wait to hear what you think of cardio axe!! I had another night where I woke up and couldn't sleep, and it was only an hour before the alarm went off when I finally went to sleep, so.... I just stayed in bed. I think it may just be that way for me for a while here, and I'm not going to get upset about it. I did do a 25 minute brisk walk yesterday after I got the kids from school. Wanted to do Cathe's treadmill pyramid (did you see that thread?) but the kids were gung ho to get outside right away so I didn't feel like changing, so I walked it. Went faster and faster and then uphill too. Nice little bonus workout. I may get a walk in with Larry this morning, too, we'll see.

Waves to Hottie and Joanne! Have a good day everyone!

Hi ladies!!

Kathy, enjoy LIC! That's always a fun one.

Chris, no funks!! Sending you happy thoughts!! :) :) Does that help? Probably not, huh? ;) I'm sure Leandro will be better at lifting your spirits. I just felt like doing a fun workout today, so I did TurboSport. Cardio Axe is fun. OMG - that trip sounds exhausting. 10 hours on a bus with 8th graders? Bring your ipod to drown out the noise. Why do they have to start every day before 6am? Those kids will be wiped out by the end of the day. Maybe they are trying to minimize any hotel goofing off. I remember the best part of overnight field trips was running through the halls of the hotel and being goofy!!

Beth, I did see that treadmill pyramid workout Cathe posted. Looked good. I may try it sometime this week. I want a treadmill at home!!! DH is looking online for a jet ski. Something we don't need and have no room for. But, I told him if he gets one, I'm getting a treadmill. He keeps telling me no, we don't have room, etc., etc. He got a boat, hot tub, has numerous motorcycles, ATV, etc. I'm hoping he gets the jet ski now so I can be justified in getting a treadmill. Kind of crazy logic, I know! Anyway, maybe just take a week off of scheduled workouts. Just do what you want. Walk, yoga, or nothing. You need a break sometimes.

My commute to the eye doctor last night was a nightmare! I usually take the train to work. Love it. I had to drive yesterday so I could go to the eye doctor. It should have been a 1/2 hour ride. Well, it was an hour and forty minutes of five mile an hour torture! Ugh - I hate traffic!! The expressway I took was under construction, but I had no idea until I got on it. I was stressing I was going to be late and they would be gone by the time I got there. I was 45 minutes late, but they were still there. They were running really late cause they had two emergencies. One had a detached retina and the other got punched in the eye. I didn't want to complain about waiting after that! I had to wait there for about an hour before they saw me for two minutes. He said the cell growth is stable and to come back in six months. He'll eventually have to remove it, but didn't want to get into what he would have to do, since what he's done so far hasn't worked. He did say they are researching new ways to deal with this stuff, so maybe I'll get a resolution to this in, oh, the next five years or so!

Caitlyn is on a field trip with her class to the zoo today. I'm having some working-mom guilt here. She really wanted me to chaperone and I used up so much time this year that I'm trying to build some back up so I have enough for our vacation in July. And, my boss told me to watch my time. And, they are talking about layoffs here. :( But, a seven-year old doesn't understand that. It's a great day, though, 70 and sunny.

Have a good day all...

Joanne

I'm Back!

I started with Cardio Axe. I LIKED it! It definitely has a fun factor, and for maybe a few seconds I was "dancing" and not thinking about it. But most of the time I was concentrating on getting the moves right. LOVED the pushing the sand and riding the waves the most . And that Leandro sure can move, can't he? Ooh la la! But , ya, I dance like a white girl, and I'm sure LOOK like an idiot. I kept thinking of you , Joanne, dancing when the trash guys were out your window ! LOL! Oh, and ya, I got suprisingly pretty sweaty towards the end on the last combos!!

Crazy girl that I am, I then followed it with 30/30. Now THERE'S some sweating and breathing!! Haven't done an HiiT in a while, so this was pretty challenging to me. After that, I was DRIPPING!

I just finished my post workout "snack". I had the hugest craving for Peanut Butter and banana, so, damnit, that's what I had! I really don't eat enough fat during a regular weekday (forgetabout weekends, LOL!).

Beth: I understand your sleep issue (or at least I think I do!). I ALMOST had one of those nights. Well, first of all, I'm up with Zach's blood sugar checks (1am and 4am last night), but after the 4am check, I started THINKING and a bit PANICKING about the DC trip. There's tons of stuff about Zach & diabetes to be worried about, I'm also worried about sharing a room with a "stranger" (another teacher I don't know at all). Anyways, I started THINKING, and somehow I managed to snap myself out of it, or I would NOT have been able to sleep again. So if I'm "night thinking" about this ridiculous stuff, I can imagine the "night thinking" YOU could be having!... I also saw the TM Interval Cathe posted. Luckily, I hate TM's! LOL! .Or I'd be out buying one! ... The walk sounds pretty intense, not "just a walk". Get in what you can and feel like. don't stress your body, right?

Joanne: I also understand your "traffic panic" to an extent too! I ran into MAJOR construction yesterday going to get my mom for HER eye appt!. But I wasn't late, I took a detour. I'm glad your eye appt wasn't bad news. It will be ok, right? My mom was SOOOO funny yesterday. I went into the exam room with her, and the doc was examining her eyes. He covered up the GOOD eye and wanted her to read with the eye he operated on (removed cataracs). So she says, "OMG, I can't see A THING with this eye!!!", And he says,"Focus, can you read anything?" and she says, "NO! It's all BLACK". And he looks at her and says, "Ummm...how about you OPEN your eye?". I was in a FIT of giggles (as was my mom). LOL!..... I will def bring my iPod to the DC trip. I'm also kind of nervous about the bus trip. I kind of feel queasy just riding the bus for work, a SHORT 5 minute ride!. Not good, huh?..... Sorry about the field trip. I hate missing kid things too. I felt this wave of guilt that I had to miss one of Jake's Reading groups a few weeks ago.

I really do need the sun to come out.

Guess I'll head to the grocery store , come back and do laundry, watch DVRd TV.

*waves* to Hottie!!! ... You're going to start an STS rotation, huh? that's cool!!! It will keep you honest for sure!!!! I kind of want to do it again, but like what I'm doing for now. we'll see....

where are my cupcake loving peeps out there????

C'mon....

doncha want one?

I had cupcakes and pizza today. Today wasn't such a great day. Joe and I got into a big fight before work and then he ended coming back from work and drama drama. As I said earlier, I'm glad we both are in jobs that let us take time for "personal issues." But I got Circuit Blast in which was more fun this time around. I think mostly because I don't need to pause as much so the workout is a lot more fluid that way. Oh! And I finally wore the outfit I bought at the RT because it matched Cathe and the crew. I felt uber cute. Except I ate cupcakes and pizza and the scale is going up instead of down...oh well, it'll make my STS rotation look even better! I'll do personals tomorrow but I just want to say... I understand traffic pains perfectly well as being stuck on the 110 (nation's first freeway) for almost 1.5hrs once and being stuck in Kolkata traffic...which if you ask Joe is just another world....
