Max Intensity Cardio opinion

I can't believe I'm saying this but I really like the intensity of MIC. I've done it enough by now that I've memorized it. Have a little "keeping up" physically but at least I know the moves. My question is - because it's such a long workout (I think it says 75 minutes) do you do the entire workout at one shot? I'm wondering about the actual benefits of such a long workout? Is it smarter to do half one night and the other half the next? Just wondering how the rest of you do this workout? I'm absolutely wiped out when I'm done with the entire workout but just wondering how necessary it is to do that to myself. Your thoughts please??? Thanks!

I've only done the entire workout once and that was skipping the challenge at the end.

Usually, I just do the floor workout - on the rebounder, as an add on to a weight workout.

I feel that is enough for me.

I did a rotation where I did MIC 3 days a week for a month. I did not have any problems. If you have the time and your body feels up to it, I'd say it is OK to do it in one shot. But I don't think it's necessary. The only difference I noticed with the rotation was that other cardio workouts started to feel easier. I also like adding on MIC Hi/Lo or step to days when I extra cardio.

I love this workout, too. Thank God I have no joint problems. I used to own this on VHS then got it on DVD which is convenient for me since I used this many different ways. I have used just the Hi-Lo back to back so I'd have to rewind the VHS. I occasionally do the whole workout when I have no weight work planned. Somtimes I use the Hi-Lo with the Hi-Lo from SJP and CTX. It has many possibilities. But to answer your question, I myself do the whole workout every now & then when I have more time & when I really feel I need to kick up my cardio time.

Maybe I'm just looking for an excuse to quit early cause my butt is dragging by the time I get in the middle of the step portion. I have to really concentrate on clearing the step with some moves - the fatigue starts getting me and I go into wimp mode, but I feel kind of defeated if I quit. Thanks for the input!

I do the whole thing every time. Sometimes though, I do the step on 6" and then quickly add another riser for the "challenge".

This is one long relentless grueling cardio, and substitutes nicely for running during the hot summer months when I don't run.

I love the hi-low segment, but don't like the step portion. I use the first segment a lot as a cardio add-on to another workout. I also really like doing the hi-low segment and then switching to Imax1 for a funner step workout that keeps the intensity on the same level.

I do the entire workout when I do it. Every once in a while I do the hi/lo only as an add-on to another workout, but I like doing the whole thing.

Usually I do the whole workout, but I don't do it on a regular basis, just when I need a kick in the butt. Sometimes, I do just the step portion with part of another step workout. I LOVE the step part of this workout.
