Magnificent Moms Aug. 17-24

trying to get a pic of the new teeth. i don't have my photo progams so these are strait out of camera. except I managed to make it small for online-hope not too small to see his teeth. they are just out of the gums. ;) ah that is small. oh well. grr.

I found an article..lol it's 1:20 and I am still awake because I just studied a lot and took my psych test and got a 47/50, but w/ the extra credit article I got 5pts added so 52/50.. woot!

I did LL today and scrapped the cardio. I got a soak instead because I have been stayingup late and getting up early. I can't wait for Sat. so I can sleep in I need to get some sleep.

Wendy~bootcamp sounds fun! I wish they had something fun at our gym here during the day when Ihave childcare. They have Zumba at night, but not childcare.. blah Maybe they can get it during the day I would def. go. Ihear that is fun, but I love bootcamp workouts and kickboxing.. so fun!

Okay better get to bed.. gotta get up in oh 5 hours. ack

trish, same here re: classes during the day at gyms around here, there are basically none. all classes seem to be geared toward the before or after work crowd which makes no sense to me. other moms must want mid-day classes! this gym and the other ive been looking at have childcare too, so i would go to a class every day if they had daytime ones! going during that dinner/bedtime hour is really hard for my dh. JJ only wants me at that point and I am feeling bad about it. thats when my gf goes tho. i am also really disgusted by there sales tactics and am thinking i shouldnt give them any $$ just out of principal...

i was not as sore from that bc/kb class as i thought i would be. cathe has conditioned me well! the only thing i am really feeling is DOMS in my quads, interestingly enough.

on the agenda for me: farmers market, CVS to get pics for my grandmother (she wants to put my two sons in a locket she bought), something for dinner... and a workout of some sort! Not sure if I'll end up at the gym again with my gf or whether cathe will be training me =) I am due for ub work today.

I got in a some KPC last night. I got on my moms rower some this morning. trying to squeeze in what I can. Is it ok if I have a protein shake for breakfast everyday when I'm breastfeeding? I need to cut back somewhere. my fam eats good so I make up for it later in the day. I'm trying to watch portions also. we are walking most everyday too for a mile or two. not seeing much reslts with just that so thats when I added the last two w/o in. I told my mom I HAVE to w/o or I feel like crud!!! just hard with no time. whatever time I do have I spend doing homeschool, cleaning, caring for baby, errands(groceries) or spending time with family.

Wendy -we are looking for a farmers market tomorrow. we want to make some asparagus soup. I always get annoyed with gyms sales tactics and I don't care for their childcare so part of why I w/o at home ha! but once I did get to go to the gym without the kiddos and enjoyed the classes.

Trish -hope you get some sleep tonight!! boy you sound busy!

hello everyone else. maybe going to a small town and checking out the little shops tomorrow. going to let the big boys stay home with grandpa and play wii. ha. they'd much rather do that. we'll probably grab lunch in some little cafe. my mom said shes really enjoying us being here. ;)

Our days have been so full the last few days - hard to find much computer time. Getting lots done around the house and wanting to soak up every last minute w/ DDs before they head to school....:(:(:(:(

I've been doing great on my WO's and finding all kinds of motivation with eats too. I am determined to lean out!!!! I did B&G tonight while MIke slept in the lazy-boy chair! LOL! Las tnight I went for a run w/ my 19yo sister and her friend....and I smoked em.:cool::cool::cool::cool:
Saturday we're going to Detroit Zoo - that might be counting as my cardio! That place is HUGE!:eek::D

couldnt get back to sleep after j's early nursing.....so I did an good hard hour of classical stretch! I'm loose as a goose!:p:p All set for a great day w/ the fam @ the zoo.
 
hi mamas! my internet was down for a while. we are back online but for some reason thecathenation is not loading properly everytime i navigate to a new page and im having no probs with other sites =( weird.

kate, the zoo sounds great! are the girls getting excited for back to schl or still sad?

trish, i canNOT imagine a boy that age following those guidelines, thats impossible! zumba is so much fun! tho i dont get the cal burn i do with cathes or step,bc,kb type classes.

jess - youll get that wo in eventually...could you "schedule" the time with your parents? like, mom can you babysit from 7-8 tomorrow, something like that? idk, sometimes a scheduled time helped me when JJ was littler otherwise i got carried away with all the things to do and be so dang tired!

im still working my way up to yoga class ready so ive been doing dvds from the library. yesterday was denise austin fat-blasting yoga. she is super annoying, ESPECIALLY for yoga, she needs to shut up! but the actually program is excelleif you already know about yoga alignment and dont need form pointers, she doesnt give any. it was a toughie!my walks have also been long and sweaty lately - it is soooooo humid here!

I'm finally getting a little breathing room-- so I can post.

Jess-- the workouts are going great!! I have been running almost everyday now for about 2 weeks. I lowered my mileage to about 2-2.5 miles daily to build my self up to start running about 5 miles a day.

Wendy--- so you're liking yoga? I hear you about Denise Austin!! I have her stuff, but sometimes I can't take how cheerful she is.

Kate--- how was the zoo? love to visit the animals.... except for the snakes and gators:eek: great job on the run!! love it!!! You are always sooo good with your w/o and your eating.

Trish--- you sound super busy!!!

As for workouts, I have been making sure that I at least do something active daily. I started to get in a 2 mile run in the mornings because the gym is right below my hotel room. Even with I didn't "feel" like getting up, I would get up and run for about 20 min. then come back to the room and strech. Then after work I would get me "workout" in. Either the elliptical or another run. sometimes both. I found out for me, I need to get a lot of cardio in.
I guess that the saying is true.... you can't outrun what you eat!!!
So I have been taking a close look at what I am eating.

Due to the recent upgrade we ask for your patience and suggest that you follow these few steps if you are experiencing issues:

1. Log our of all Cathe Nation websites then close all windows and tabs, except for the one you are working in.
2. Clear out old browser data. For example: cookies, cache, authenticated sessions, form history, etc. Most browsers can do this with a few clicks in their Options or Tools menu.
3. Apply those changes and refresh your viewing window.
4. Close the browser, then open it back up and try again.

w, dds are mixed abt school starting. me too.:( i keep upbeat abt it w/ them tho. ginas the :(:( of all. isabel pretends to be :( bec gina is but shes really :D abt it.

Hi mommies! Sorry for being so MIA, but last week was full for me. This week will hopefully slow down. I only got three wo's in last week due to so many time constraints, but this week will be better! I went for a 30min run this am then did GS Triceps. It was a good hour workout and I feel so much better! Eats have been decent, but I did have cake and ice cream since it was my MIL's bday last week. Determined for a clean week! Sorry for the lack of personals. Promise to jump back on later and do them! Off to do some work then heading out to WalMart for some sewing stuff. Wish Target had a sewing and craft section like WalMart.

Hi Lisa... 3 times is better than none on the workouts.. I love to sew!!!!

Kate.. the GWF is what is making me move more. I am really liking it. I have it set to lose 1.5 lbs per week and I am down 5 lbs. I have cut back on eating though.
No workout for me tonight.

ooooh, syndney, you're a'temptin' me w/ the gwf! my fam would hurt me if they saw me using it tho!:eek: and not sure how id explain it to my very observant, ever=questioning dds!:confused:
