Although this woman is not in the best of health, she brought to us the truth about fast foods.

The idea is to die young as late as possible.

EWWW! Thanks for sharing! This reminds me of the aging segment of the movie "Super Size Me". Ick!

Disgusting, isn't it?
Kind of wonder what our digestive enzymes and all the the beneficial bacteria in our guts actually can do with this "food" (aka: "Seemingly edible food-like substance", LOL!)

I like the saying "preserve human life, not shelf life"

I had a "huh?" moment when she said "When I used to be overweight"...USED to be?

Yuck! I haven't eaten at MacDonalds in a very long time, thank goodness!

The last time I went with my mom and 2 daughters, we only went because my daughter wanted to (she wanted the toy.) We sat down and took a bite of our food and threw out the whole thing. Even the kids wouldn't eat anything. We ended up going to Subway LOL!

Any dry salty food will hang around a while and if not actually studied in the human digestive system will look far different. So while I don't advocate for McDonald's I also don't advocate for fear mongering with such information that well, lacks any substantive information. I can think of much more sound reasons to avoid their food for the most part. I'm just left wondering if they will find any in tact Burger King under my boss's desk someday.....

Agreed.

You're right Beavs - It kinda of looked like beef jerky! I never even thought of that. Wow, must be a lot of salt in those babies.

I don't know Beavs. I usually appreciate your level-headedness and your avoidance of fear-mongering (mongering in general seems like a bad thing :p ) but I disagree here. Real food just does NOT behave like this! No way Jose. Uh-uh. No siree bob.

> Real food just does NOT behave like this! No

I agree. (Dry, salty food like jerky, yes, but not something like burgers and fries).

If you watch the extras on the "Supersize Me" DVD, regular "mom and pop" burgers and fries are pitted against Micky-D's stuff. The "Mom and pop" 'real' fries go bad within days, while the MD fries look exactly the same after, what was it, 2-3 weeks? That is absolutely NOT normal.

I particularly appreciate the fear mongering!:D When someone posted about the McDonalds food not rotting like regular food awhile back in another post, it helped me to live a cleaner life. The thought of it made me literally want to vomit.

Prior to that post, my family lived off of fast foods. A bad habit we fell into when we totally gutted our kitchen to the studs and started renovating. Anyway, since we've eliminated fast food from our diets, my entire family couldn't be happier.

I allowed my 10 year old dd to get a Happy Meal when we were on a long shopping trip. This was after she was on a couple of weeks of regular meals consisting of fish, poultry, and vegetables. She had the runs like you wouldn't believe! I guess her body just got used to real, healthy foods. It made a believer out of her! If she gets anything from fast foods now, it's yogurt or salads.
