Lunge explosion

I did LG Extreme this morning. I have done this before. But I never can complete lunge explosion. I need some encouragement. How long did it take you to master this move? What else I can do to replace it before I can complete the whole section of lunge
explosion.

Thanks

I don't know how long it took me, but I just wanted to say some days I can do it and some days I can't! :) Seriously I think it is always hard to get all the moves down in the first pass as your body doesn't know what to expect. It'll be easier the next time you do it! So just keep trying! :)

Those explosive lunges can be a real leg burner...I'd suggest not trying to go as deep in the lunge the first few times through, until you get more comfortable...hope this helps...:)...Carole

I just do as many as I can. I start deep, then end up going shallower as my legs fatigue. I'll tell you, though - they work!

I haven't done this workout in a while, but if I remember correctly, the explosive lunges are done first with 3 (?) static lunges, then you "explode" to switch which leg is in front. I assume it's the change that is the tough part (and the end where you do them back-to-back). This is a challenging move, but you can get better at it (isn't it great to have a challenge to work up to rather than be bored to tears by a "too easy" workout?).

Start with either a more limited range of motion, a slower pace, or both. That's the way I approach moves I want to do but am not quite ready for (some moves I don't EVER want to do, so I modify them to suit me).

You can also do the entire explosive part with the same leg in front, so you're only concentrating on the power and height at first. Or, conversely, concentrate on the foot switch and do a very shallow lunge (almost like a scissor move).
