Lunch with an old friend

Well, I went to lunch with an old High School friend Friday and had a great time. We haven't really gotten together since graduation. She only lives about 20 mins away but you know how the busy days of life go by and before you know it it's been 10 years. I'm hoping we can keep in touch and do more things together (I really need a friend right now to do stuff with and just hang out).

The reason I'm really writing this is that she motivated me so much when I saw her. Over the ten years she gained alot of weight and was 270 pounds for a long time. Then recently she's lost 132 (not sure if that's exact) pounds and is basically down to her high school weight of around 140. We talked so long about our weight struggles that I really felt like someone else finally understands me. I know you guys do and I love the support on this forum but there is nothing like talking to an old friend face to face about it.

Anyway I just wanted to share that. I am so proud of her!!!

That's great to hear. I've suddenly been connecting with a lot of old friends - it's really great isn't it.

Your friendship sounds very special. Glad you were able to reconnect :)

That is great Kimbra! Only people who have been thru the struggles understand. Glad you rekindled your friendship!!!

Robin,

I asked her if she exercised any. She did Curves for awhile in the beginning but then said that she really hates to exercise and isn't really doing anything now. She saw all my exercise stuff when we went back to my house after lunch. But I didn't push anything.
