Alright, I saw a thread on Lucky jeans a long time ago and saw that Belks at my mall started carrying this brand. I have never spent so much on one pair of jeans, but I was finally sick and tired of wearing uncomfortable, ill-fitting jeans. I wanted to wait until I had dropped a size, but school starts in less than two weeks (and we have casual Friday and teacher work days) and I figure I can save these for TTOM if I ever do drop down one size like I want to. Anyway, I plan on washing these and wearing these until they are nothing but threads. The fit is abosolutely wonderful and they look great on me...believe me I'm not being vain...I usually HATE the way I look in jeans. They were worth the $86.00 I spent...so Happy Birthday to me and I will probably be doing a Tracey preorder...haven't decided on that yet. I tell my hubby, I make it so easy on him...he doesn't have to buy me a thing! That's how I spin it anyway.

P.S. I had a 20% off shopping pass which is how I talked myslef into these jeans, only to find out at the register it did not apply to the Lucky brand...boo. I also bought a cute, brown, top that was on sale and I got the 20% off of that.:7
 
Most of my jeans are Lucky brand! I just love them. After finding the style I like and the size I wear at Macy's I just get them on ebay.
 
One of my friends wears Lucky jeans and she says that are the only jeans that truly fit her. I have never spent that much in a pair of jeans. However, I am able to find other jeans that fit me nicely such as Tommy Hilfiger. I am glad you found a pair that you like and the money will be worth it. When they don't fit, you just keep buying more jeans and more jeans....just settling for what you can get....and not really being happy.

You are happy. And when you drop down another size....treat yourself to another pair and then you will have 2. Great! Congratulations on your new and nicely fitting jeans.
 
So what is it about lucky jeans? I have heard other people talk about the great fit of these jeans...is it they accommodate a lot of different body types or what? I usually wear GAP jeans and though they fit good, I would love something that's even better! So tell me what you love about them!

And by the way, congratulations on finding a great fit and Happy Birthday!

I think they will fit various shapes. My friend who wears Lucky jeans is hippy. I just know that she is like a size 8 and she has wider hips and loves the way that fit her. She actually didn't wear jeans much, only skirts, because she couldn't find jeans to fit her nicely.

They just fit better than any jean I've ever had or tried on and they are hip for lack of a better word. If I found jeans that were comfortable they were frumpy or made me feel frumpy and I wouldn't buy them. I saw all kinds of styles, but the first pair of Lucky's I tried on were perfect for me! Woo hoo!

Which style did you end up getting? The only one I can wear comfortably is Easyriders.

I know what you mean about spending so much on jeans, but the raves for Lucky Jeans on this site got me to try on my first pair last year and I've never had a pair of jeans that fit so good. They must look good if DH doesn't mind spending so much on a pair of jeans. I now have several pairs and I wear them so often that I feel I am getting my money's worth.

By the way, a few weeks ago I went to the Lucky Jeans store and they had several jeans on clearance for 50% off! I got three pairs. They are the "older" style - boot cut and lighter wash which I prefer anyway. This season the "newer" jeans are darker and the legs aren't as bootcut. But I don't care what's "in", I just like something that fits and looks good.

By the way, Nordstrom Rack and similar discount stores carry Luckys for cheaper, but I believe they are irregular. I wouldn't mind "irregulars" if the flaws weren't obvious, but I once tried on probably 20 pairs and couldn't find one that fit right.

I heard about Lucky Brand on this forum too so I had to go see for myself what all the fuss was about. Besides the fit, the denim they use is like butter. It's soo soft and comfortable. Every time I wear them I get compliments from people. They all want to know what brand they are and where I got them. I never tell them the price (let them find that out on their own LOL).

Note to anyone considering purchasing a pair: the denim will stretch about a half of a size when you wear them so keep that in mind when you try them on. The salesperson convinced me to buy a size smaller than I usually wear. Even though they are a little too snug when I put them on right out of the wash they end up fitting perfectly after about an hour.
 
I am a HUGE Lucky fan. These are just so comfortable, and they look great on. I like the Sweet-n-Low style (low rise but not super low, and boot cut). I should have gone a size smaller - when I bought them, I was debating between two sizes and went with the larger, not knowing about the stretch factor. I still love them, but I think I'd never take them off if I got the smaller size - they'd be pant nirvana! :)

Awesome!! Lucky jeans are the most comforatable, flattering pair of jeans I've ever owned. I have 5 pairs now. They are worth every penny.

GREAT quality material too. The material isn't cheap and they will last you years and years!
 
I have the hardest time finding jeans that fit. I have a small waist, proportionally big rearend a thick thighs. I found a brand of Lee jeans that are below the waist, and boot cut. They fit great, and don't cost a fortune. Wal-mart carries Lee jeans, but not this style. I bought mine at Kohl's. They probably don't look as good as the Lucky jeans, but they were about 1/3 the price, and do look good. The Gap also has jeans in "curvy" styles. They are awesome, they have cute slacks in the same style that I love too. They are around $50, but are often on sale.

PS I'm a teacher too, and look forward to Friday, because my jeans don't have to be ironed!!!!!:)
 
I would much rather spend $100 on a great-fitting piece of clothing that's PERFECT than spend $30 apiece on 3 different things that are great deals but just so-so. So I don't think you have to justify spending $86 on a pair of jeans. It is inherently worth it.

If I planned on staying the size I am now, I would definately agree with you, but until I get to where I want to be, I'm not spending a lot of money on clothes. Then I hope someone will nominate me for "What not to Wear" so I can by $5000 of fabulous.
 
Sounds like a plan hopefull!

Believe me, I don't regret my purchase one bit and if I have to buy another size in the future...so be it. These jeans are fabulous!!! Yep, my co-workers will probably get tired of seeing them EVERY casual Friday...oh well.

P.S. I didn't know about the stretch factor (the jeans I bought are 100% cottoen, no lyraca, which surprised me), but they are comfortable so I don't mind a little bit big...I will wash and dry to shrink up a little bit. In some odd way this has fueld my desire to lose the last 10. I joined a 12 week challenge on the yaya's and already feel less bloated and lighter and clothes are fitting better. Woo hoo!
 
I love Lucky too. I have 7 pairs and purchased all of them on ebay. It's so rare to find jeans that are both hip and comfy! There were a couple pairs of Lucky's I purchased on ebay that didn't fit but because everyone loves them so much I was able to re-sell them in a flash, with bidding wars no less :7
