Hi guys, feeling a little stupid here, but what is lower body solution? I've never heard of it? And clearly anything that may even attempt to help my inner thighs is worth a listen :)
Thanks, Donna

Thank you so much for the link, it was very interesting and I printed it (18 pages :(), and I'm going to incorporate it with my next rotation and try it on for size :)
Thanks again, Donna

Donna: How is it going with the LBS? I dropped weights just a week after I started because I listened to someone else's comments rather than my own head/heart ("You're going to be so BIG and not lose any weight") I'm making progress weight wise (I'm down to 185 and I've lost an inch and a quarter from each of my big measurements - waist, hips, and thighs)

Any way, I'm screwing up the courage to lift AGAIN and was hoping to be inspired by your continued, amazing success!!!!

Thanks,
Katie

Thank you for the link Robin. It was very interesting indeed. I'm happy I have another rotation to try for the upcoming months. And Donna (Hi Donna!) thanks for starting the thread. I love your posts. I hope you reach your fitness goal soon! You're a warrior :D

Hi Katie, I start the LBS rotation on Monday 1/14, I'm finishing up my last week on another rotation, which was why I was trying to get as much info/input on this LBS concept. It makes sense when you consider the largest muscle groups are in the lower body, therefore, working them more frequently should not only improve their shape, but burn more calories overall, so it's worth a try. My only other question is how long term are we talking here? Do we work our lower body 5-6 days/week until we reach the desired results we want and then maintain the results with a 2-3x/week routine, or are we talking 5-6 days/week for the rest of my life, cause clearly I'm painting an ugly picture in my mind of being 70 years old and still doing squats like some maniac! :) But I'll try anything once, especially if it'll help my inner thighs :)
P.S. How are you eating? You are dropping pounds like crazy!!!!
Time to share your secret :)

LAST EDITED ON Jan-07-02 AT 01:07PM (Est)[p]Donna: I am just trying to eat clean and cycling between 1200 and 1800 calories per day depending on how I feel. I do supplement with nutritional products from HMR. I was referred to their program when I couldn't get my blood pressure to stabilize after delivery and they helped. Their web site is at http://www.take-care.com Its not for everyone but it sure helped me.

I can't imagine adding in more leg work...please post how it works for you! I'm starting a Slow and Heavy rotation this week (I'm committed to 2 weeks but I'll go for up to 4 weeks if I see results)

I just received this book in a trade and it looks very interesting. Has anyone used this concept, and what have your results been? How much lowerbody work did you do each day? I'm doing a rotation with both the S&H and Pure Strength series each week and I'm thinking of adding alternating floor or standing leg work on to each day. Should I lower the weights since I'll be working my lowerbody every day? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! :)

I started this program in May, and went all out.....tried to do 6 days per week, and frankly did not get the results I wanted. My legs are a mess, and I have to work very hard to get any results. Part of the problem is poor circulation. I cut back to what is the same as two standing and two floor workouts per week, and have done fine. Six days a week is very hard to maintain, and I got burned out on it. Low weights and high reps was my key.....I ended up going to a personal trainer, and I'm glad I did. I'm a believer in personal attention...just like if you had a health problem....go to a professional. It's worth the money.

Hi, I posted something in Ask Cathe section but nobody noitced. It has to do with this topic, so I wonder if anyone here can help ...

I’m trying to find a good rotation. I came across this posts on the lower body solution. I have been wondering if it would be too
much on the lower body, even though you try to focus
on the lower body in a different way each day. But in
checking into this, I came up with a rotation using the
idea of the lower body solution. I’d appreciate any
idea’s or thoughts on this. Would it be too much on the
lower body??? :-hummm
I’d be doing the upper body 2 times a wk(covering each
muscle group), abs daily, as well as cardio. I’d be doing
yoga and pilots video’s (beginners) in the late afternoon.
Here's what I came up with, any experts out there?
What do you think?????
Rotation:
Monday
Treadmill 45 - 60 minutes
5 Day Abs
Leaner Legs (CTX) Cathe

Tuesday
Rhymic Step Cathe
5 Day Abs
Lower Body Sculpting (Parts) Firm
Upper Body Parts Firm

Wednesday
10*10*10 (CTX) (Cardio Only)
5 Day Abs
Standing Legs Firm

Thursday
Cardio Kicks Cathe
Lower Body Split (Floorwork ONLY Including Abs)

Friday
Bodymax (Whole Tape)

Saturday
Step Fit
5 Day Abs
Lower Body Split (NOT floorwork or Abs)

*3pm, rotate Yoga and Pilots daily
Thanks in advance!
