Lower Body/ Freestyle training May 25

Hi Ladies,

How is everyone doing? Pretty good here. My husband left for Iraq 2 days ago. I just hope the time flies by and he is back here and safe before I know it...:)

My workouts so far this week. Sunday was a 9.5 mile run and yesterday was KPC and L&G premix. Tonight will be a run and some weights. Not sure what weight workout yet... I will get some legs in though.. I need some upper body too.

This morning was KP&C and 20 minutes of L&G. Tomorrow will be PS upper body and 200 unweighted walking lunges with PUB lower body floor work.

Today for me is ME lower body, and Plyometrics. That Chest and Back workout yesterday fried me!!!!

Candi, those walking lunges I have done, but I think I am going to add more like you. I have been stepping up my AB work also.......

Morning ladies,

Yesterday, I did BB Chest & Back I used the bands and for a couple of the workouts I used my dumbbells. Push ups I did them all on my knee…. excellent workout. After I finished round one, I didn’t feel the burn. Altho, I hafta confess, I was a little intimidated. I guess, because this is all new moves. I was afraid to really push myself but for the second round I went all out.

Lori, details pleases, how did you do C&B. What equipment did you uses?

After I finished, I felted nothing, until maybe a few hours later my arms felted like noodles, feeling it this morning. I also did Ab Ripper with no burn, okay on some of the moves I did feel the burn. I wanted to concentrate more on my form, nice workout. I’m going to do the workout again tomorrow.

Tonight I’m doing Plyometrics . I watched it again last night and I’m thinking to put 20 minutes or so Legs & Glutes with it. I think Plyometrics would compliment L&G very nicely.

Hi Girls -

This morning was abs, the first 5 intervals of IMAX2 and the ankleweight floor work for L&G - about 50 minutes total. Restarted my Body for Life eating program yesterday, so far, so good. Hard to get in all that water though.

Beverly, you and your family are in my prayers. We are all pulling for you and wishing for a safe return for your hubby.

I don't know if you guys saw my note from yesterday but Cathe recommended 400 unweighted walking lunges to someone who wrote in that she had two weeks to get ready for an event.

I mentioned that I thought I was doing good for 100 with light weights. Cathe wrote back and said 400 walking lunges were good for a short duration rotation. I figure if I could do 100 with weights, I could add another 100 without weights. I'm going to try tomorrow.

Also, if any of you have the BB SS DVD, Beverly recommended the premix of 33 minute leg workout. I tried it and it's a frier:7
 
TeddyGirl- I bought some bands, but over the weekend, I did order the BB bands. I haven't gotten them yet. My first week on these workouts was not as good as this week has been. They are an adjustment to what we are used too. I just made the bands as tight as I could, and followed the way the guy did them with the bands. The second round I went on my knees like he did, and I felt them way more that way. I also did as many of the push ups as I could full body, and then went to my knees. The Plyometrics also is a very good leg workout. I can really feel my buns today. The first week I did not write any weights or reps down. this week I am and that is also helping me to really push myself. Have fun, and if you have any more questions I will do my best to answer them.

Lori, thank you. I guess I’m not that far off, I’m just so use to Cathe's workouts, that’s all I do. Now I’ve this new toy to play with. I too and concentrating on my form and getting use to the workouts. My upper body is very sore today, at first I didn’t think I was going to feel it, boy was I wrong.

I did round one and two push ups on my knee. I didn’t know that I could do so many, thanks to Cathe. I’m trying to figure ways to put my Cathe into BB rotation. Can’t leave my girl out, I JUST CAN'T. You guys have a great evening.
