Low-plane lunges / One-leg squats

Hi!

Are low-plane lunges (4-day Split) very different from the one-leg squats in Leaner Legs? The only difference I can think of, is in step height. Is that correct? How are the muscles targeted differently?

Thanks!

Hi Biteset!

If I'm not mistaken I think Leaner Legs starts this exercise from a standing position and 4DS starts it from the floor. Starting down at the bottom is a little harder and it also engages the glute more because you have no choice but to engage it if you want to get off the floor whereas in LL, if you are standing, you have more choice as to how low you want to go down.

Also, each of the workouts has it own exercise sequence. Remember changing the order of the exercises within a given program, changes how your muscles respond to each of the exercises in the new order. :)

Thank you, Cathe
