Low Energy need your help

Other than having a Red Bull for tonight’s workout. What do you guys eat/take for quick pick me upper? :) :)

If you have low energy often, I would have bloodwork done. I had it done, and I was in for a shock, as I am severely anemic. The two biggest groups that suffer from anemia are menstruating females and athletes, and many of us fall into both those categories.
 
Anything with more iron, as I too found out I was anemic.

Of course chocolate does have iron:p :9 }(

I am anemic too ;( But in this cases, Its' called not enough sleep last night syndrome :p x( x( x(

I have to say a Red Bull doesn't seem like a good choice. Energy drinks are a big thing these days, but most are full of caffine, sugar, and artificial toxic ingredients. You should look at your diet. Try to eat clean, meaning everything in it's natural state. Stay away from table sugar that will give you energy, but later you will crash and burn. And then you get addicted to it. Maybe you need to take a pharmacutical grade multivitamin to fill in the nutritional gaps you may have. You can't get all the nutrients your bodies need from food. Another thing to look at is, how often you have a bowel movement. Us humans should have at least 1-2 bm's per day. A lack of bm's leads to a lack of energy. It is important to be regular. Then again it could by a lack of iron or even hypothyroidism. These are just some things to think about. Also your sleep. How much and how well do you sleep?

20 minute power nap always helps me. I even set my watch alarm not to oversleep. It will keep me going for hours.
 
That is so sweet of you to say, Teddygirl, and, yes, I have been told that I look like Cher. My iron and hemoglobin were so low that I could have been in the hospital on an IV. Today is the sixth day of taking iron and eating iron rich foods, and I am feeling slightly better. I just received my new Cathe workouts, and I am previewing Low Impact Circuit now. I hope I don't have any freezing problems. I hope that I feel well enough by the weekend to do it.

The new workouts are so exciting, and, and I still received the surprise, and I preordered in November.
 
I get the sugar free Sobe no fear or sugar free adrinalin rush. I know they're bad but i always have one before i workout and they work:)

Do you eat dinner prior to your workout? Sometimes if I feel a real lack of energy I eat some slow burning carb about 30 minutes before and I feel my energy level increase. Caffeine later in the day and I would not sleep especially after a workout.

Caffeine is so counterproductive. My daughter was on the red bull track until she found her iron levels low. I went to the health food store and was recommended a bottle of Floravital by Floradix. It is a liquid extract made from herbs,is non-constipating, tastes great and best of all works wonders.
 
Another comment here. It would do to get your iron checked at a doctors office. I used to take extra iron because my son was anemic and I figured that is what I needed. Well I have too much iron. This can be bad if your levels are way to high. Fortunately for me I just make sure my vitamins do not have iron. My daughter and her husband both have high levels of iron. I think it is best to look at how much rest you are getting and diet first.
