Low Carbers & Friends - Feb - ? - 2013

I, of course, tried to use the weight I would normally use for a short type set. Then the reps kept going...:p I really had fun with it though. I had to keep track of the weights and reps for my BFFM stat page, so it was hard to count since the rep pattern kept changing!

Yeah - those reps in the barre portion of Xtrain Legs are nothing compared to those bicep curls in ME ! There must be at least 100 of those buggers ;)! I know - those rep patterns are much harder to track! I end up not knowing how to put it down then they crop up and take me by surprise every time !

So I about killed myself with Boot Camp yesterday. Well, it wasn't that bad...those terminator things I had totally forgotten. I'm just not flexible enough at the moment to do those very well. I suppose I will keep that one in the line up to get used to them again. :O

I guess I "fudge" too if fudging standing there for 1/2 of them with my hands on my hips, muttering to myself, OMG, hate these MFers. LOL Not really, but I do stand there for a little bit, then the guilt kicks in! :p

ROTFL, Rhea :D! I use the bench (which I leave set up for my weight workouts) rather than actually hitting the floor. I use it for mountain climbers & other things along that line, too ;).

Hi guys,

I need to pull out those oldies but goodies workouts when I'm done with this rotation, maybe in 2 more weeks. I also use a chair to put my hands on when I do mountain climbers. My excuse is long legs and short arms, if that counts. Can't remember what the terminators are.

So classes officially start on the 18th. Got 6 weeks, then get the summer off! Yea! Still cold here, we have another week hovering in the 30s and 40s coming up. I hope it's not a cold spring and then a sweltering summer.

Have a good week!

Melinda! That's my problem with mountain climbers!!! Legs are too long! Terminators are the bend down, mountain climb, pop feet to hands, stand back up and jump! Not that I have ever been able to do it the proper way. And now I know why, thanks!! It is always difficult for me to pop the feet back to pop the feet back to my hands. LOL

I did ME again yesterday, better than last week, but still skipped the very last leg press section and the abs. At least I made it through the first set of leg presses with the weight this time. I probably will be more sore later since I was an idiot again and did the chest fly section with 10 lbs. Those low ends on the flies with 10 lbs get 'cha really good.

Rhea - You are always such a glutton for punishment :p!

Melinda - You can do anything for 6 weeks, right ;)???

Hi sweet babes!! So glad to be back!!! :D:D:D I've missed you!!

We got moved in over 2 weekends and I wasn't able to get the apt. super clean but I no longer care. :p We're slowly getting things in order and would have had more done if I hadn't come down with a nasty cold this past weekend. And I've still got it. The bugger hangs on forever!

Rhea, I LOLed with your comment on the terminater climbers, MFers is a great description! :D

Melinda, I am glad you will have your summer free from school, you deserve it! Does DH get to work at home alot?

Lita, I admire you for doing 6 workouts a week! I've never done that and likely never will! :)

Looking back on my previous posts, I stated continually that my workouts were a bust. Well, that pattern hasn't stopped! I count moving as part of my workouts though so I have kept active until this past weekend. I can't wait to get all settled in and just enjoy living. And getting back on track with the eating and the workouts.

Have a great rest of the week fit babes!

Tracy - How awesome to "see" you again ! I am so sorry you got that cold :( but thrilled you're in your new home :D!!!!!!!!!! Don't worry about the workouts - soon you'll have time to do them as & when you wish - getting settled in is the most important thing for all 3 of you ;).

Happy Friday!

LOL, yes, Lita, I can do anything for 6 weeks! And now after Saturday, it will be 5 weeks left. I already wrote a paper that is due the end of April and did 4 of 7 assignments. I like to get things done early if possible, then I will just study and do clinicals.

OK, Rhea, now I know what the terminators (aka MFers are!) Yep, long legs aren't going to let that happen like Cathe, but hey, isn't she just a little over 5 ft tall? I have 7 inches on her.

Tracy, so glad to see you! I'm sure the apartment is clean enough. Just focus on your house now. Home sweet home at last! You will get back into the swing of things soon enough.

So what is going on with spring. STILL, we are having snow dustings and all next week suppose to be in the 30s. I'm getting a little crabby over it. We didn't go for our walk last weekend because we both felt like we had colds or something wrong with us, just no energy. But I am hoping we can go Saturday, I think that's the only thing that has kept me sane this past winter.

Have a good weekend!

Melinda - Awesome job on getting that school work done early :D! I had some friends visit Ohio last week for a family reunion - they about froze to death :p! Hope you and DH continue to feel better and get to go out and about. I'm sure that's a great break from all your nose-to-the-grindstone stuff with school!

Morning everyone! Glad to see everyone here again. Tracy - you must love being in the new house. Isn't it fun? Well, after all the work is done, it gets to be fun. Whatever are you going to do when you don't have a house to work on?

Melinda - good job on that school work!

Lita - just the same ole same ole for you? Nothing new? I know we (well, west coast) keeping sending the cold past us, so that's why there is no spring yet at your neck of the woods.

BTW, Tracy - you gave me your cold! I've had it since Friday...err. Didn't get a darn thing done this weekend.

Morning, Rhea :D! Of course, same old here. But that's fine. Changes are not always good ;). Keep sending the cooler weather - I don't even want to think about trying to get the yard work done on top of everything else ! Oh well, I guess two changes ... I'm back in PT (for the same issues I've had for 6+ years) and tomorrow I finish the last workout in the 90-day XTrain rotation .

Hi fit babes! I'm sorry I gave you my cold Rhea--I wouldn't wish that one on anybody! I hope you are getting better every day! I'm still coughing from it. Made for a fun run with BB today! :p

We seem to be keeping some decent weather here and not sharing. Partly sunny today and 57 degrees for the high. Not complaining at all! We had an easy winter too compared to last year. Not complaining at all about that either!

The house is slowly coming together. We really haven't had a whole weekend to work on it since we moved in! I was sick one weekend, then last Sat. we had to head south and check on our empty house down there. It had been almost 4 months since we checked on it! It's still standing but needs some yard work which is no surprise. :)

I am loving this house despite the boxes we still need to unpack and furniture we need to put in the right places. It's quiet and so much bigger than the apt. I'm very happy! :D

So it really isn't the same ol' same ol' Lita with your PT and ending your 90 day rotation--good for you doing that rotation! 90 days is a long time to do a rotation as we all know! Have you looked into an ergonomic assessment at work? I think you can find lots of stuff on the internet but I am lucky to have had someone at work to do one for me. It took 9 months at my new position sitting so poorly in the wrong chair that my right shoulder became almost non functional. I wasn't even able to use my arm to steer the steering wheel in my car it hurt so bad and I wasn't able to do certain weight exercises. 2 weeks ago I got a new chair that's much better for me and I'm going to get some more small things to assist me. The shoulder is better but it takes a long time to recover from this stuff. And because my shoulder hurt, I didn't make the connection to my job for a long time. And I should have known better! Years ago I got a different mouse because the old one gave me tennis elbow. Who knew?

Enough of that! I plan to tackle a Cathe workout tomorrow. Hope I don't overdo it! I did the leg drills from LBB last week and the next day felt like I had never worked out a day in my life before. Goodness!

Happy close to Friday babes!

Tracy! So glad to see you more often here! You need to come play more often. :p I still have the whatever it is....just won't go away. Even have antibiotics, but that really doesn't seem to help.

Melinda - you are probably buried under some books! Hope it is at least warmer where you are now.

Lita - How about your neck of the woods? Our snow is actually almost gone. It keeps raining, oh darn....:)

Hopefully I'll be able to start back workouts again by Thurs of next week. (I know this weekend is no go, still got cold and Monday is a massage, out of town, tues and weds, so aiming for thurs.)

Tracy - So glad the house is coming along :D! I think moving in slowly is best. I've always done it wham-bam but then I've ended up having to redo it several times until I actually got things where I needed them. I think doing it slowly will make it easier to get things where they belong to begin with. Chairs are a big issue for me - but so is sitting in general ;). I can only sit for about 10 minutes at a time then I have to get up and move around. Bad discs do that to you .

Rhea - We've had very little snow this year. I mean, even less than our normal very little ! We did have a colder and windeier winter but really nothing to complain about considering how a lot of the country suffered! Please allow yourself time to get well :). I know you want to workout - but surely you want to finally completely kick this crud, right ;)?
