Low Carb Protein

Does anyone use the low carb drink protein supplements? If so, which ones. The vitamin Shoppe has a $10 off coupon in the paper. When I went to look, there were 3 or 4 different brands. Does anyone have a favorite? Thanks

The Atkins protein bars are pretty high in protein - about 20-22 grams depending on the flavor. I have bought them in GNC and the Better Health store.

I just ordered a new protein powder made by Syntrax called Nectar. Someone referred to it in a post and it sounded perfect for me b/c I can't tolerate the milky ones. It's supposed to be fruit-based and you just mix it with water like juice. Per serving, it has 90 cals, 0 fat, 0 carbs, and 29 grams of protein!! I thought that was nuts!! I'm going to use it as a recovery drink after weight workouts. I found the best deal on it at www.jerseyjoe.com. It was like $23 for 2 lbs--the best deal I could find!! But, I haven't received it yet, so I'm not sure about the taste or results.

I love Designer Protein in vanilla praline. I mix it with Hood Carb-Control Milk. The total for an 8oz. shake is approximately 5 carbs.

I use Carbsolution Vanilla Protein Powder, I use it as a base with water for my smoothie. It is only tolerable as a drink by itself. Adding a banana, raspberries and blueberries makes it a very good drink for breakfast. Carbsolution can be bought at Wal-Mart.
