Loving PS Series

I did the PS Series this week and absolutely loved it! The pace is just right for lifting heavy and the form pointers are excellent. I can't wait to see what results I get after 8 wks.

I asked Cathe a question about whether a second total body weight workout would help or hinder strength gains (the goal of my rotation). Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

In my rotation (designed by fellow ecto Bobbi), I'm limiting my cardio to 30 min 3x/wk. CTX sure is perfect for this. I did Step & Intervals which was a lot of fun. I think my next cardio will be MIC hi/lo. It's like Christmas every day with all of these new videos!

I did a PS rotation over the summer doing each workout 2X during a week and had EXCELLENT results. I wasn't focusing on cardio at all during that time and made great strength gains!

Hope this helps!

Hi Susan, prepare to be hooked.:) Last November I broke my plateau with two weeks worth of S&H then rotated only PS and Pyramids 'til the end of this month. I cut back on cardio from 4-6 sessions a week to 2-3. I have made substantial strength gains in the last two months than during my first 5 months on Cathe where I rotated strength workouts with endurance workouts and did so much cardio. The drawback: I have this paunch in my belly, and the fat in my hips/butt area that I hoped to blast with weights is still there. So for January I plan to alternate a strength week (heavy weights/low cardio) with an endurance week (low weights, high reps/double the cardio). I don't know how my body will respond to this, but if this goes well, I'll keep doing it 'til February then hit the heavies again in March. Good luck. Enjoy those new videos.

Hi there
I am doing a PS rotation this month, because I tweaked an old knee injury by overdoing all that fun new cardio I got (I purchased almost all of Cathes stuff over the last year when I was pregnant, but couldn't do it all then, so I have lots of new workouts to play with (is that a run on sentence or what?) and I played too hard too fast:-( . Anyway, I am focusing on strength this month and less intense cardio. I'll be interested to see what results I get too. The knee seems to be healing nicely, which is good, because I can't wait to do IMAX 2 again.

take care

I did PS a couple of weeks ago, after not haviing done it for many months. I'd forgotten what a great workout it is! There are some moves iin there (like the cross body tricep extensions) that aren't in other workouts. I'd love to see a follow-up to it with a bit slower reps (to allow for heavier weights).

I just started the PS Series this past week and love it too!! I'm working out 5 days a week - doing each PS workout once and two cardios. I did the Chest, Triceps and Shoulder one on Wednesday and Saturday my triceps are still sore!! They really hurt yesterday. It's great! I can't wait to see my results too!
