Looking to maintain 110 lb. weight loss and gain muscle...

Cathlete
Hi Cathe and everyone! I posted last week about beginning Cathe workouts after losing 110 lbs. and FIRMing exclusively. Although I love them and they really helped me increase my level of fitness, I find I must do at least two FIRMs back-to-back to feel as though I've really worked out. After such a warm welcome and much-appreciated advice by those here:) I think I'll be purchasing the entire Intensity Series and Cardio Hits (I just love step and think these will give me a good "Cathe Foundation!"). My goal is to maintain my weight loss (I'm finding maintaining is harder at times than losing was in the first place!) and building some nice muscle mass (my next purchase will probably be Slow & Heavy). I don't know if I'm genetically predisposed to bulking, but personally I *love* the look! My diet is fairly nutritionally sound (with a Hershey kiss or two once in a while:9 ), and I would like to maintain my 6x/week workout routine. I know it will take me a while to get a handle on Cathe's routines, but I know if I work hard and intelligently, I'll be able to do those moves! I have printed out Cathe's IS rotation and would like to focus on the heavy weight lifting variation:

PLB
PUB
IMAX2
rest
C & W
PLB + first 5 intervals of IMAX 2
PUB

But before I hit the "purchase" button, I would love your opinion as to whether you think my choices of IS and Cardio Hits are good ones to help achieve my goals of weight loss maintenance and muscle mass gain? Is the IS/heavy lifting rotation a good one for my goals, or should I modify it with a different cardio/strength training ratio--I'm just not clear how much of each I should be doing?

Thank you *so very much* for your time and valued opinions! It took me 37 years to finally get into shape, and I want to do everything I can to ensure that I only get better with age!

Hi, Kim!
I think it's an excellent rotation. The Pyramids are tough and I took them into quite heavy weights. They run a close second to my alltime favorite Slow & Heavy. IMAX 2 is intense and C&W is is great way to shake it up. I always find when I plan a rotation, I tweak it as I go and make changes according to how busy my life is and how I feel. The cardio in IMAX2, C&W and Cardio Hits is very user friendly! Go for it. If you are doing two Firms back to back, you are SO ready for IS!
